Services
Mr. Dan White first started his solar screen and shade business from his garage in 1979. His friendliness and earnest attitude quickly brought him many appreciative and repeating customers. Within just six months, he was able to build his first shop and office. The first building, a small office and shop space, was built at its current location near Ben White Blvd in Southwest Austin.
We use Phifer solar screen materials, one of the best made in the industry, as our main product line. Our solar screen products, made from long-lasting Phifer wire, are specially designed for maximum heat and sunlight blockage as well as durability. Phifer solar screens can effectively block 60%-90% of heat producing sun rays while providing excellent visibility from inside the house.
If you are looking for ways to beat the heat and reduce your summer cooling costs, as well as reducing your winter heating costs, consider the replacement of your window screens with high quality solar screens on the exterior of your home. As opposed to window film or tint, window screens and solar screens are installed on the outside of your home.
When It Comes to Screen & Patio Doors for the Austin Area, You've Come to the Right Place. Dan White's Screens & Things has been the name to remember for screens and patio doors since the business began in Mr. Dan White's Austin garage in 1979. We are well known for our exceptional quality in manufacturing our screen and patio door products as well as our expertise in installation and repairs.

I highly recommend Dan White's Screening. Our screen porch is beautiful and everyone who sees it remarks about the quality. This company stands above the rest in both service and quality! They are professional and responsive, as well as excellent craftsmen. They work together as a team and made sure all the work was completed to their high standards before considering the job complete. With some contractors they do a less than adequate job in hopes that you will not complain or know the difference. With this company they care about the quality and want you to be completely satisfied. Five stars

We've wanted to get screen enclosures for a while and started looking into various companies and options. Doug got back to us quickly, and came by our home to give us an estimate and showed us pictures of similar jobs they've completed. That really helped us get a fee of what it'd all look like. He gave my husband his recommendations based on his experience which was nice too. The pricing quoted seems very fair, especially after comparing some other quotes. Not only that, but the excellent reviews for this company solidified our decision to go with them. Doug set clear expectations of timing and
