The Turf Doctor's (Robert's) journey in turf management began in 1984 by treating lawns in Franklin, TN, for Walter Glenn, owner of Perf-a-Lawn. He then obtained a bachelors degree in Agronomy in 1993 from Mississippi State University, majoring in Turfgrass Management. Robert has worked at several golf courses in Memphis, New York, and at Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville, TN.

I bought and won an “aeration and over seeding” job at a fundraiser about two years ago the Turf Doctor was a sponsor at. I called their number at least five separate times talking to numerous people who always stated they would me call back and never did. I can’t vouch for the quality of the work but I can vouch for their lack of organization and character...it’s not good.

The Turf Doctor has provided my lawn care for over 18 years. I couldn't be more pleased with the service as well as his knowledge in identifying any of my lawn needs. I did a lot of research before hiring the Turf Doctor. The man who came for the consultation and seemed very knowledgeable. However, after one season with them, my lawn was dead from brown spot, and where it was green, it was completely all weeds. Many calls and emails did not get responses. They did come out to aerate and over seed in the fall, but did not remove the considerable amount of thatch, so the seed did not germinate.
I spent a lot of money and got a dead lawn and weeds to show for it.

I have used the Turf Doctor for one year. My yard was a patch of weeds and needed help. I had heard about this service a couple of years ago from an acquaintance with a beautiful lawn. I called Robert and he began working on my lawn. Last year, my lawn looked much better, but this year it looks awesome! A neighbor told me the other days that my lawn looked like a carpet. Also, this company is very reasonable and you will be well pleased with the result. I highly recommend them!
