Unlike many construction companies that are owned and operated by people who have "worked their way up through the trades, " we at Fowkes Builders are sophisticated and knowledgeable businesspeople. Over the years, many customers have come to Fowkes Builders looking to do a light renovation (i.e. a makeover) on their home. Fowkes builders designed and built my house and I have to say they exceeded my expectations. The final product turned out great. Going in, I had no idea how complex building a house would be - zoning laws, the NYS and East hampton building codes, construction loan, etc. It could’ve been overwhelming. Fortunately for me, FOWKES builders know exactly what to do every juncture. I appreciate how they involve me in the creative aspects of the job but did not involve me in the headaches of building a house. The owner, BILL FOWKES, was an active part of the construction process. At times he was the

I am a repeat customer at Fowkes Builders. I have completed two renovations with them, and most recently, they built my brand-new home. And I love it. In all cases, the work they did was very detailed and of very high quality. They were extremely knowledgeable about the construction process as well as things I didn’t even know existed—for instance, when they designed my house, they were also taking into account how the design could minimize the real estate taxes I would pay. They knew enough to select the right windows, insulation and heating system, making my house extremely energy efficient
