The Flooring Nook is a locally owned and operated flooring and design center ran by husband and wife team: Dan & Shaina Freitas. Shaina's father and grandfather were both flooring installers, and they introduced Dan to the business after him and Shaina met in 2001. Dan started "Dan the Tile Man" in 2004 and over the next 10 years developed a wonderful relationship with Jim Horn, owner of "Jim's Ceramic Tile".
When Jim was ready to retire, Dan and Shaina purchased "Jim's Ceramic Tile" and changed the name to "The Flooring Nook". In 2017 they built a state of the art showroom located at 2077 Old St. James Road. They have now grown a small team and continue striving to bring high end; quality flooring, installation, and design to Rolla and the surrounding areas.

What a lovely gem of a store!! All I needed was one small piece of carpeting for stairs. Wished I needed more than that or had a big project. Their selection is AWESOME! So many innovative choices for flooring. I am so thankful my husband said, "lets just stop here."

These guys were AMAZING. We went to several box office stores. Just not impressed. We walked in they were so nice and helpful. They want you to have the floor you want, not what will get them the most money. They had to special order what I wanted, kept me up to date of arrival time. The process was so easy and great. Our kitchen floor looks amazing!!! Thank you guys

We are very happy with our new kitchen. Dan and his entire team did a great job helping us pick out materials for our new kitchen counter, backsplash, and flooring. The installers, Josh and Jake and Mike, all did a great job and we are very pleased with their work. Highly recommend that you talk with Dan and Shaina for your remodel.

I can’t express how thankful we are for Dan & Shaina at the Flooring Nook. Not only were they super friendly and prompt to respond to any questions we had, they cared about our project. They were knowledgeable in their product which made our experience even better. There are so many options and designs out there to choose from; which really makes choosing flooring a stressful event. We just completed a bathroom remodel with new flooring, new counter top, tile wall and back splash and it looks fabulous; I am thrilled with the results! Dan, Shaina, and the entire group worked together as a team to assist with tile selection and seeing the job through to the end. Installers Jeremy and Jake were professional and their talents were on display with the tile wall they completed. They went above and beyond to address floor squeaks, cabinet issues, and faucet adjustments. Thanks Flooring Nook for a great experience!

The Flooring Nook here in rolla is the only full selection flooring and faucet showroom in 100 miles. The staff there has been great to deal with on any project that I have. Shaina and Dan are great.. Shaina has a great eye for design and Dan can get any project up and going at the drop of a hat! Lisa is always on top of things there in the office for any questions! If anyone is needing any flooring or any kind of remodel project done they are always my first stop!

I have bought a lot of tile from The Flooring Nook. They were great in helping me find exactly what I wanted within my budget. They went out of their way to work with my time frame and actually ended up storing a lot of product for me for an extended period of time. All of the product I purchased has been of good quality and I have been very pleased with the sales and service of Dan & Shaina, the owners.
