Critical: Professionalism
I just witnessed one of their employees in the passenger seat of one of their trucks aim and throw an apple at a cyclist on Sweeten Creek Road. I’m fairly certain that’s assault as the employee clearly saw and was aiming for the cyclist.
If that’s the way these employees treat strangers, I would hate to see how they treat customers.

Doug Carpenter and his team from Appalachian Movers moved my husband and me from California to North Carolina. They did a fantastic job! They honored both the the pickup and delivery times down to the agreed upon hour. Also, Doug stuck to his flat rate moving bid ( submitted after he reviewed photographs of our belongings) and there were no surprise charges or overages, which was really important to us, as many other moving companies have numerous 'overage' charges above and beyond their initial estimate/bid. With Doug, there were no surprises. We negotiated a flat rate, and that's what we paid

Appalachian movers helped us last August of 2019 and their service was beyond what we expected! We originally were scheduled with 2 men and a truck but when our move in date was postponed to a week later they were not flexible with us at all. Appalachian movers not only offered a better price, but they made it work with a short notice. The men that came out were extremely hard working and very efficient. I would recommend their services to anyone!

We recently purchased a house in Hendersonville, and I set about getting bids to move our household goods to our new home. Doug Carpenter impressed me with his frank, professional demeanor, and I was glad when his bid came in hundreds less than the next lowest bidder. Now that the move is over, I am even more pleased about going with this organization. As other reviews have mentioned, Doug and his crew showed up on time, worked very hard, were consistently polite and careful with all our goods, and got everything moved into place with no damage to any of our possessions. They even moved heavy furniture

I was so busy at the time of my move (August 2017) that I forgot to write a review for Appalachian Movers. I am getting ready to call and schedule another move and want them because they were very good, with service and attitude. I had additional tasks that were unplanned and they were able to accommodate me at a reasonable cost.

Appalachian Movers Transport made our move to Florida comfortable at a very reasonable price. Doug Carpenter came out, gave us an estimate, and stayed in touch from commitment to delivery. He went out of his way to help us have a non stress moving experience. He moved 8,000 lbs of boxes containing our precious belongings and we lost 4 inexpensive wine glasses (that I packed). We can't thank him enough.
