We had dreams of building an eco-friendly, custom, universal design home for our lakefront property. We researched builders, faithfully went to the Parade of Homes for a while, and were delighted to find Heartland Builders. We built our home with Rich and his team in 2015 and love our home as much today as when we moved in. Their attention to detail and planning through the whole process made building our home enjoyable with little stress. Great architect and interior designer provided the perfect floor plan and beautiful finishes. The "co-construct" software made selections easy and prices transparent as we were able to communicate with Heartland's team every step of the building process. We would not hesitate to build with Heartland again.

We worked with the Heartland team to build a home in late 2011 and took possession in winter February of 2012. We’ve been in the home for six years now and have no complaints. If anything went wrong it was minor, and Heartland has always been there to stand behind their work. Initially, my wife was very hesitant to engage in the building process, but in the end she was extremely happy that we did so. Working with the heartland team ended up being a great experience and we would not hesitate to use them again if faced with that opportunity.

Heartland Builders built our home several years ago and the experience with Rich and Cindy Kogelschatz was awesome. I know building a home is supposed to be this scary experience but they made it enjoyable. Yes, there are stressful moments in everything but we were always able to work through them. The support staff was helpful when deciding on things like fixtures and colors and how everything would pull together in the end. They were open to making changes during the construction phase and offered up suggestions on improvements as the house was being built. We never felt pressured to do something
