As our collection grew, we saw an opportunity to take some of those antique and special pieces and give them a rebirth: launching our custom painting services. With an eye for what makes the perfect refinished piece and an extremely talented painter ready to go, the next phase of the MSE was born, and the owner & founder, Gary Greenstein, became an authorized Stockist and instructor of Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan, the original and best-selling Chalk Paint in the industry.

The look of a kitchen can be completely transformed with one simple update: painting the kitchen cabinets a different color. Using Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan, we'll transform your older, outdated cabinets with a hand painted, lightly distressed coastal/farmhouse look in your desired color at an extremely reasonable price.
The first and most common is a customer owns a piece of furniture, or sees one that they love, but the color doesn't fit their interior, or it's simply not the color he/she desires! In this instance, we will help guide you through the selection of paint color and type of wax to make your piece the perfect fit for your home.
The Madison Stock Exchange is always accepting quality and fashionable items on consignment. Furniture, lamps and art work are hand selected from cat and smoke free homes. If we are interested in learning more about your items, we will contact you to schedule a time for you to drop off your item. For items that are extremely large and/or heavy, we will make an in-house appointment* to review.

Great store with a lovely couple that runs it. Very friendly and accommodating. They have beautiful pieces and accessories for the home to furniture, wall hangings., antiques and they also repaint furniture. You can also check online. We are looking for a white dresser, tall boy, hoping they get one in soon!

I Just purchased my 2nd furniture pc that Gary will chalk paint it in my choice of color. I love this store because the furniture he has are quality, older pcs & different. My 1st pc was a Henredon French provincial 64' dresser, chalk painted in Chatueu Grey that I absolutely love and can't image not having. Thanks Gary!

See my review on Yelp. This establishment is dishonest, abusive, lacking in integrity, kindness, and decency. The owner essentially ruined $240.00 dollars worth of paint, and four days of work, by knowingly selling me a laquer that was inappropriate and destructive. The laquer, which was probably an acid wash or a paint stripper, destroyed the… finish, the color composition, and tone of my project. I have been purchasing Annie Sloan paint from Gary for about 2 years now. Every time I am there I always have a question, for which Gary has ALWAYS had the answer. He is a wealth of information.
