Ted & Ron Hoover were born and raised in Orangeburg County, SC. After some time the brothers visited Wisconsin where they learned the basics of post frame construction. In 1972 the brothers went into business for themselves, establishing Hoover Building Systems on a 3 acre site in Lexington SC. In 1984 Hoover Building Systems moved to its current location, a 10-acre site in the heart of Lexington, SC.
Whether it's a new backyard garage, a horse barn, or office area, you can bet that we've built it. Hoover pole buildings have been going up since 1972, when Ted and Ron Hoover founded the company, and have been the go-to place for a variety of building needs. Hoover Metal Buildings was founded in 1986 by the Hoover brothers in order to meet the needs of a growing number of commercial customers in the midlands. Steel framed buildings are ideal for warehousing and other commercial applications, so it is no wonder Hoover Metal Buildings thrived in a growing community.

Ronnie Shealy and crews took excellent care of the project; a 50’ x 36’ x 12’ pole barn, from the start to the finish.
The concrete pad was poured in a timely manner, all my requests were fulfilled, and the barn looks great!
They used superior materials and treated lumber for the framework. The insulation and siding are matched to the house.
And Ronnie even recommended an electrician to install the 200 amp service!
I highly recommend Hoover Buildings of Lexington to anyone considering an outside structure!!

Great Experience & Product.
I was impressed with how smooth the overall process is. The site was always clean. The finished product is spot on. Extremely impressed on how neat the building is in appearance....ie, lumber turned with best side visible, etc. All phases point to well trained staff. Highly recommended.
