Gus did a great job installing our vinyl fence! The vinyl fence adds a finished elegance to our landscape remodel that a wooden fence would not have achieved. The job included adding an additional gate to one side of our yard and coordinating the work with other contractors who were working on our landscape remodel.
Fence Masters is a small family business and we were happy to give them the business, particularly in these difficult economic times.

After some research I ultimately selected him to install a fence in my front yard and privacy in my back, as of yet, I have no issues with the back (doesn't mean it won't happen), but my front yard was a friggen disaster. He had his two sons doing the work, I installed in the front because I have a 3 year old grandson and a dog, I wanted to be comfortable in letting them be in the front.
The fence panels were never fully secured into the post, (which was confirmed by his son) so you could push on any one of the panels and they would completely pop out giving access to my g-son and dog

Fence Masters (Gus) installed a shared fence for me and my neighbor. We went with the lifetime guaranteed vinyl fencing in white. Install was done quickly and looks great! In addition to that, Gus and his helper were very nice! Always a pleasure to work with a family run business who are also friendly. Makes you feel like you're working with a friend. :)

Had the absolute pleasure of working with Gus regarding the replacement fence for my Mom . Extremely fair price and great finished product . Will use them again for the other side of backyard . These Guys are the BEST !!

Gus was a very kind man in the begging of our conversation, and then things became sour real quick.
He came to put a fence up at our place no strings attached I told him I would use him to put up our real fence but for now I need a temporary fence.
I never called him back to put up our final
Fence because our landscapers did it for us at no charge and I paid him for the work he did so I didn't think I had to call him back and let him know what was going on, I was wrong.
Gus then called me and said I need to pick up my temporary fence then if you're not going to use me to put up

I enjoyed working with Fence Masters. I feel like they did a great job on the fence. They even added more concrete in a few areas that I wanted extra filled around. Gus was kind and professional.
I have has some problems with the gate latches and have not been able to receive communication from them through text or phone. I hope they will be able to help us get the gates back to good working order.

If you don't mind shoddy work that you have to pay extra to repair, by all means... call Gus.
If you don't mind your fences being completely uneven and lazily installed with no one taking responsibility for it, rock on, give these guys your money.
I'd post pics but they're embarrassing and just looking at the areas make me cry--like I did the day they did the work and Gus tried to tell me why they didn't do any leveling--- and none of it was a good answer.
I hate that I paid him once to fix his job and I'd rather do cosmetic work than deal with someone who cares

UPDATE: Not only did we have the issues written about below with Gus, this weekend (1.5 months after the work was complete and PAID IN FULL) he fraudulently charged our credit card $2200 out of nowhere. We were successful in disputing the claim but only bc we watch our credit cards closely. DO NOT HIRE or pay in cash.
CAUTION- do not pay Gustavo until you are completely satisfied with the work performed. Gustavo installed a fence in our backyard. I requested the same fence as our neighbors because their fence runs along one side of our yard and I wanted the other side to match. Fence Masters

I must have contacted over a dozen companies for quotes and Fence Masters came in by far the lowest. To top it off, I absolutely loved Gus and his sons. They were hard working, very quick, and my fence is beautiful. I waited 6 months before I wrote a review because I wanted to see how the fence held up. We are by a canyon in a VERY windy area. We've had several fences collapse since we've lived here. The fence Gus put up is by far the sturdiest. Thank you Gus for saving us money and giving us a beautiful fence!

If I could put zero stars I would. Missed the time line by a week! One day notice. Left a mess every day including not showing up on Friday and leavening their stuff everywhere. Did I mention the left a huge gap in the fence one night that anyone could access my yard. Unprofessional and I would go elsewhere for fence work!

I called them and they promptly answered and made an appointment for a fence repair estimate 2 days later. The day of the appointment no one showed up or called to let me know they were not going to be able to make it. I called numerous times and left a voicemail and I never got a call back. Very disappointed!

I hired him last Sep and he did not built my gate right way. So it did not work after a couple days later they built. I emailed and called him then he said I will come over to fix it. He showed up one time but he could not fix it. Before he left I will come back and try to fix it. He never come back. I kept emailing him but he never reply. I do not recommend hire him.

I purchased a house in Rancho Del Rey which needed the neighboring fence replaced. The house next door was a rental property managed by a real estate company so this can possibly pose as a challenge. Luckily, they were responsive with my request. The real estate company worked with me and came to an agreement with the property owner to have the shared fence replaced 50/50.
The company referred Fence Masters for the project since they had done business with them in the past.
I met with Gus to provide a shared estimate of the fence. I have a pool so Gus advised there are city requirements

I felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode - "They know how to TAKE the reservations, but they don't know how to KEEP the reservations".
Booked them for a time two days out to give me a quote. Made sure I had no meetings and was home. Then they didn't show up. 3 hours later, and no call/text, nothing.
If you can't be bothered to show up when you say you will or let me know ahead of time that you won't be, then I'll take my business elsewhere.
