Metropolitan design is for those who want to keep pace with the latest styles and trends, influenced by modern interior design incorporating a flair for a non-cluttered traditional look. Basically, this design is more straight forward and direct. Working on a canvas of modern furniture designed to be touched and used everyday paired with a monochromatic color scheme, new fabrics and area rugs give a calming effect on the home.
Traditional design is largely influenced by European architecture, it is packed full of architectural elements ranging from coffered, vaulted and recessed ceilings, to wall paneling, crown moldings and carved wood doors, crystal sconces and chandeliers to original sculptures and oil paintings, all working in harmony to bring interest and warmth to the palette.

Having formally worked for the Lachance team I can say that I worked for the most renowed interior design firm in all of South Florida and Palm Beach County. It was an honor to learn from the best and the numerous awards & accolades over the years support that.
This disappointing review left by "anonymous princess" should be completly disregarded to anyone who is looking to work with the Lachance team. Many years ago I was lucky enough to be selected to accept a 3 month internship with Susan Lachance Interior Design. I was in my last year of school and wanting to absorb everything the interior design world encompassed. I took in everything Susan had to offer, and was it was exhilarating! My 3 month internship turned into months, which then turned into a full time job, and happily, I’m still here years later, as one of Susan’s newest employees. Having worked on several very high end projects with Susan and her staff, I can say with no hesitation that they are a solid, very professional outfit, and a real pleasure to deal with. Susan has amazing taste, is very decisive and thorough, yet reasonable when issues come up with availability, integration or any of the thousands of things that can come up during the course of a project. She is extremely good with her clients, and makes sure that they are well cared for and happy with the outcome. Susan and her team have been working with my family for more than 5 years. We have done 2 homes with them. They are above and beyond professional. They work with the best contractors and sub-contractors. I have never been disappointed with their timing or outcome. When I walk into my home it makes me smile-and my guests love what they see. As the next project comes up we will work with Susan and her team in a heart beat.
