Squash Meadow Construction (SMC) is a small business with great big ideas. In operation since 2001 and in development years prior, Squash Meadow has become Martha Vineyard's premier builder of custom designed, high performance modular homes and has been featured in such national publications as Professional Builder Magazine as well as numerous articles in local publications.
In general, the timeframe to design, permit and to build a custom modular home typically takes 10-12 month from start to finish. That is typical, it can be shorter or longer depending on a lot of variables such as design time, delivery, permitting, etc. We have outlined a general flow of the modular building process and tried to answer some of the more common questions asked.
Thank you to Bill and the Squash Meadow team for delivering us a beautiful new home on time and on budget. This was our first modular build project and exceeded our expectations for build quality and speed of delivery. From design and zoning approval, through to installation and custom finish work, we had a strong partnership with Squash Meadow and we're thrilled with the results.
