Solid surface is an incredibly versatile countertop material. Durable and moldable as well as colorful; it can be used in a wide variety of applications. Corian, or solid surface, has long been associated with simply countertops, but is now being used in a wide variety of methods due to its versatility.
Solid surface countertops are man-made from plastic materials such as polyester and acrylics. The process allows for flexibility and improved durability as compared to countertop materials. While laminate countertops are basically a thin sheet of plastic adhered to another material, a solid surface counter tops is a solid block of plastic, aloowing for consistency throughout the color and texture.

I had Lexmar install my new kitchen counters and couldn't have been more happy with them. They responded quickly to all of my question either by phone or email. Tammy and Cheryl in sales and Jason who installed couldn't have been more professional. The counters were installed in a timely manner and are beautiful! This is the only place you need to go for any of your countertop needs. The service is above exceptional. My sales associate, Ruth, went above and beyond, even communicating on her day off. Sending me to the best slab yards and working with them to find me two matching slabs when my top pick was not large enough . Cody made the template, spot on and included minor tweaks for me. Chris and crew installed my countertops so smoothly that I can't even find the seam and left my house cleaner than when they arrived. I wrote a longer review, comparing our experience with 5 fabricators in Pittsburgh on both Yelp and Angie's list, so I'll keep this one short: Lexmar was by far the best option. Not only was the quality of work very high with extremely reasonable prices, but they are genuinely some of the nicest people I've encountered in the construction industry. I loved the job they did for us (cutting and installing countertops from an unusually complex piece of Quartz), and was thrilled to be able to support the business of such friendly, humble, and talented people. We picked a piece of Quartz (Category Z) from Mont for installation over all of our kitchen countertops. As a wholesale distributer, Mont does not sell the stone directly to customers, but requires a fabricator. We contacted 5 fabricators in Pittsburgh, and long story short, Lexmar was by far the best. I'll give a brief account of why we liked them so much, followed by a longer account of what happened with the other 4. Hopefully our experience will be useful to others.

Cheryl is the Office Manager of Lexmar. When we had cracked granite around our sink after 2 years of a new installation, Leggett's Kitchens refused to take responsibility. ( We won in court 3 times). At the time, though, we knew we could not leave this cracked granite. Cheryl contacted Dal Tile and we got a perfect match to our tile at a great price. The installation from Lexmar was perfect and now three years later it is perfect. We have a 10 year warranty from Lexmar USA. Cheryl gave great advice throughout the process. It was nice working with the people at Lexmar. I thought about replacing my kitchen countertops for years and finally the time was right. I was at their business twice and they came to my house twice--once for a consult, the second to measure and build the template. They were detailed and precise and I appreciated that.
Last week the installers came and took a lot of care to finish the work. They gave me information about the Quartz countertop as they worked. They finished earlier than I had anticipated and it looked good.
My sister is having Lexmar replace her kitchen countertops next week!

From initial contact to installation Lexmar USA is totally professional! Cheryl was fantastic in helping us picking the right quartz for our vanity top and matching shower bench. Pricing was very competitive. Jason measured our requirements accurately and when install day came, (18-21 days after the deposit as promised), Jason and Tony did a first class installation.

We had a relatively small job, which they were willing to come into the city to do - and when there was a small problem with our bathroom sink after the job was done, the owner came out himself and made things right, on his own time. Working with Lexmar was a great experience from beginning to end. Cheryl did an excellent job working with us as the project progressed. After we selected our granite slab, the counters were measured and a template made. We then verified the slab and fabrication was completed. The installation was done efficiently, but more importantly done correctly. We will definitely suggest them to anyone thinking about upgrading a kitchen.

While looking for a specific LG Viatera quartz countertop this summer for my newly renovated kitchen, Lexmar USA was one of five local fabricators that I reached out to for quotes. The good news is that I received the least expensive quote from Lexmar USA. The bad news? I gave them my floor plans yet somehow received not one or two but THREE incorrect quotes from two different Lexmar associates. None of the other four companies had any issues with accuracy, so I was extremely unimpressed when Lexmar continued to have issues providing me with an accurate estimate.
