Sierra Rainbow was founded in 1974 by four partners with $800, a '47 Willys pickup, a commitment to quality workmanship, and their desire to anchor their talent to Lake Tahoe's beauty and lifestyle.

Today, over forty five years and tens of thousands of jobs later, we have grown to as many as 30 employees; have a fleet of fully-equipped trucks; operate a fully appointed office & spray shop; and support our community, schools, and local sports programs.We are owner-operated: our reputation for meeting deadlines is a matter of company pride.

We recently purchased a cabin that needed some TLC, I used yelp to contact Painting Companies in the area, Sierra Rainbow kindly replied even tho this was a busy time for everyone, they gave me an appointment to visit the place where we met them and after receiving 3 bids, We decided to go with them because of their professionalism even tho it was not the lowest bid. They fit us on their schedule and soon after we can’t be happier with the results. I would highly recommend their services. My experience in working with this company was fantastic from beginning to end. From getting the estimate to scheduling to the work being completed, this company was nothing short of reliable, responsive, and detail oriented. If you want it done right, call Larry at Sierra Rainbow. The exterior of our place in Alpine Meadows gets a lot of exposure to the intense UV rays so maintenance of the finish is critical. Larry knows what products will work best and his crew is meticulous with the prep, application and clean up. We've used Sierra Rainbow twice now and would highly recommend them.

Larry, one of the owners, was fabulous to work with. I had a roof leak and required ceiling and walls to be painted. It was so easy working with Larry. Since it was in Lake Tahoe which is a second home, I had to work with him a lot from my home in San Diego, They did a wonderful job and I feel so grateful to have been able to get his company to help me. Larry and his company recently painted the interior of my place in Tahoe Donner. I am thrilled with the results! The whole experience with Larry was excellent from the start. As usual, I asked for bids from three companies. Larry was by far the easiest to work with on details and color consultation. He had great advice on accent wall location and color. His crew had good attention to detail, stayed on schedule and labeled all the extra paint very well. All this at the most competitive bid with no surprises or changes to the bid.

Our family has counted on Sierra Rainbow for almost 40 years to protect our home in Alpine Meadows from the ravages of sun, rain, snow, and cold. Larry and his crew have cheerfully embraced a family dynasty of nitpicking perfectionists and they ALWAYS do it right the first time and every time.

What a difference a fresh coat of stain made!!
Our old log cabin had fallen into disrepair and looked like a spotted mess with its badly peeling exterior. It has now been transformed into a gem!
Neighbors have stopped and gazed in amazement at our new beautiful home!

We have had Sierra Rainbow stain our vacation house three times in recent years. We wouldn't consider using any other company. Larry and his crew are conscientious, reliable, and totally competent. Communication is excellent. They are neat and clean up completely after the job is done.

Sierra Rainbow did a very professional job refinishing our interior and exterior mahogany trim and repainting the siding this spring. We went with a new siding color, and they were helpful and patient in the decision-making process. We added several small jobs, and Sierra Rainbow accomodated our requests without a fuss. The crew worked conscientiously and quietly--since we were around for much of the job, this was a real plus. We're very happy with how everything looks. It's true they weren't the lowest bid, but you get what you pay for. We will be using them again for future maintenance
