Services
Plant Health Care (PHC) is a unique and multifaceted concept in plant management. We work closely with the local arboretums and pride ourselves on being up to date in all aspects of the tree care industry. The Plant Health Care Division utilizes the most up to date, safe, and effective preventative and curative methods on all of our customers' properties.
We can come out and provide a pre and post construction plan to help ensure specific trees survival during and after construction. There are many factors that are often overlooked when dealing with trees on sites. If maintenance practices are ignored, it may take several years for a mature tree to decline and fail due to the stresses from construction damage.
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a very destructive invasive beetle from Asia. EAB can infest and kill all native species of Ash trees regardless of health. EAB larvae tunnel and feed in the vascular system which causes the tree to decline and eventually die. It is now believed to have been present in North America (SE Michigan) for at leat 15-20 years.

McGuinn was courteous in communication, timely in completing the pruning I requested, and honest in their assessment of the services needed and time needed for completion of the work.
The only knock is that they did not return a message I left, requesting a window of time they would arrive so I could plan ahead. Otherwise, I would recommend McGuinn!

I was concerned with the Yelp reviews, but our neighbor assured me - they were very impressed at Chuck's in-depth knowledges and have compared with multiple tree services, and McGuinn's team did a great job with our neighbor's trees.

Horrible customer service, once they think they have performed the job they will just ignore any complaints or e-mails! Butchered one of my spruce trees that they were supposed to just trim back, forgot to prune another one and haven't come back! Then to make things worse they applied spider mite control 6 weeks after we hired them to do it and in the middle of the summer when it needs to be done "early season", obviously they did it too late and damage was already done but of course they still billed us for it. They also never fertilized the spruce trees but sent us a bill for
