Gail grew up outside of Akron, Ohio. She moved to the Sandhills in 1978 and opened Lotus Designs Landscaping in 1987. Her work includes new and existing residential homes in Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Sanford area, with additional work in such places as Raleigh, NC, Charleston, SC, and Houston, TX.
Her commercial projects include several schools, churches and individual businesses. Gail lives on a small horse farm just outside of Southern Pines and is married with two grown daughters. On the first meeting we discuss everything you want out of your landscape. We also discuss your preferences on style, functional use, and plant materials.
Once we decide on the scope of the project, we can give you a firm quote and timeline. After the Landscape Plan is designed, we meet again to review the overall layout and materials. Once the Landscape Plan is completed installation of the work is broken down into the various areas, for example: planting, irrigation, patio, fire pit, arbor, etc. Estimates are firm unless something else is added.

Gail is a talented landscape designer with a great vision and a very pleasant personality. She has designed the landscaping on two home that we built in Pinehurst, to our complete satisfaction. She provided us with several layouts to chose from with options for driveway and walkway as well as plant and tree placement. She is very knowledgeable, thorough and conscientious. We couldn't be happier.

Gail created an unbelievable transformation in our backyard with her artistic talents using color, textures and design. Our overgrown yard has become totally new living space that we enjoy daily. She listened carefully ro our dreams and was able to create a multi level and multi functional areas that exceeded our expectations. We have several entertainment zones including a heated pavilion, in ground pool, sunning and gaming area. She is a pleasure to work with and a true artist and professional.

We are so happy we chose Gail to help us redo our back yard. She listened to all of our ideas and the final result is fabulous. Gail helped us expand our patio area to include a brick retaining wall, a fire pit which we are loving and new grass and landscaping. Gail is wonderful to work with and seriously participates in the project. I will definitely work with her again!!

Gail did a phenomenal job on our complete backyard renovation. Our backyard was bare and very boring. It was in need of a complete transformation and that is exactly what Gail gave us. It is now a beautiful landscaped space with a gorgeous patio and fireplace that we totally are in love with our new space. She was there every step of the way monitoring every step and I loved her hands on attitude. She shared our excitement along the way as if it were her own home. We will be calling her again for other landscape improvements in the future and so should anyone who is reading this review.
