Dooling Landscape Service has been serving homes and businesses in Santa Clara County since 1984. Tim Dooling, the owner, had graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture in 1978. After several years in the nursery business, I began to do landscaping. I really enjoy the creativity that landscaping has allowed me.
I enjoy working with people and creating a yard that people can really enjoy and be proud of. Some of our employees have been with us since the beginning, and their expertise shows in their work. Dooling Landscape Service has been proudly serving homes and businesses in Santa Clara County since 1984. We install new landscapes. This includes installation of sod, plants, irrigation, pavers, concrete, fences, decks, waterfalls and ponds. We also renovate existing landscapes. This includes pruning, yard cleanups, demolition of old concrete and then sprucing things up with new plants and flowers.
At Dooling Landscape Service, sod installation is not just a matter of replacing old and dead grass. The look and feel of properly installed sod is special, and your lawn will have an inviting new look. The smooth even finish and the beautiful colors make this a surface where you will want to spend time.
There is much more to the installation of flagstone than simply placing the stones in an attractive pattern. The type of traffic that the flagstone walkways will carry must be considered. Besides normal foot traffic, which will require a smooth finish to prevent people from tripping on an uneven surface, the walkways may be used for moving gardening equipment and materials.
Garden walls are of various types and serve different purposes. Concrete retaining walls may be required to control water flow and soil erosion on sloping land. They are designed to withstand the pressure of the earth pressing against them and so must be extremely strong. They also need to blend in with the ambiance of the landscape and not stick out like a sore thumb.
Landscapes cannot exist without water. It is not just water that the trees, shrubs and other foliage need - it is water in the right amount. Excessive watering can be as bad as providing an insufficient amount. The right amount of water depends on the types of plants and the soil and climatic conditions.
