There has been no man-made hardware that can withstand the test of time. The older that your hardware is, the more susceptible it will be to failure. A very important thing to consider for new homes is the heating system and one of the crowd favorites is having a home furnace. A furnace that is fueled by natural gas is one of the most energy-efficient (up to 98 percent) heat sources for any residential house. Being fueled by natural gas, this type of furnace is generally cheaper in terms of cost and maintenance compared to an electric furnace.
Efficiency is always a priority goal when it comes to home heating because a more efficient way costs less than something inefficient. For us, one way to increase efficiency is by using a ductless system. A ductless system is composed of one outdoor heat pump and one or more evaporator units indoors - more than one evaporator unit is called a mini split system.

My air-conditioning went out 2 weeks ago, when it was still hot outside. I live in a condo building on the North side of Chicago, and the Condo Association uses Gray's for routine maintenance of HVAC units, so when mine went out, I called Gray's and scheduled an appointment. They came out the next day, diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote and ordered the new parts. I can't remember the first serviceman's name. Parts came in and two days later, they sent Giovanni to replace the motor (20 years old) and refill the Freon. Giovanni did an excellent job, was in and out of in about an hour. I highly

Dan Gray is the man! Came out on super short notice to fix my AC when I was in a pinch.
Facing 90+ degrees the next 3 days and my AC not working would have been terrible for me, my wife, and my pets. Dan dropped everything and was here within 30 minutes. The problem is already fixed and the price was more than fair. Would 100% recommend to anyone in need.

I wish I could give Grays Mechanical 10 stars because that’s exactly what they deserve. I want to first off thank both Dan & Tim for their hard work in getting our A/C replaced and installed. Before finding this company we originally reached out to another HVAC company who tried to charge us almost $10k for a new AC unit. Clearly they were over charging and inflating the cost.
Luckily, we were referred by a friend to contact Grays Mechanical. Dan & Tim came out the same day and diagnosed the issue and let us know how much it would be and their schedule. Since the new unit couldn’t be done

A+ for the entire crew at Gray's mechanical. Spoke with Dan over the phone and his tech was out the same day. Decided to replace our furnace as the old one had a good life at 26 years. Their quote was insanely competitive compared to the others we received. The crew was out first thing the next day and the new unit installed without hiccup. Everyone we interacted with during the process was professional, courteous, knowledgeable. Definitely a customer for life as long as I'm in the area. Last week my heater was not working properly and we moved to this house year back. Luckily Dan Gray live right in front of our house and we called him right away. He came within 15 minutes and right away found the root cause. He fixed our heater and also provided extra filters for free. I was so impressed from his knowledge and experience. I have used Gray's now-twice. Once to replace a hot water heater, and once fix my furnace (a furnace about as old as the Pyramids).
I have a townhouse in the suburbs. My townhouse is set up in a hilariously poor design structure, so long story short, my ancient hot water heater was on the second floor. Their customer service was amazing. I contacted Gray's, Sam responded same day and they had someone out the following day. Quote received-far more reasonable than another company who came out who shall remain nameless-and the new install was in by the end of the week.

I have a condo in the city. The AC wasn't getting cold so I had a referral from a co-worker to contact Gray's Mechanical. They were there THAT SAME DAY!
Dan jumped up on the roof and reported that my old unit had a major leak of the refrigerant. He listed some options and then gave me his professional advice. Unfortunately for me, it was a bad prognosis on my AC and Furnace unit.
Sam came out the next day to walk through and give hard numbers on what it would take to replace everything. When that price was out of my budget, they had a financing option available with a great zero interest

Dan called me on the day our A/C unit went out and told me that he would have somebody out that day or worst case scenario the following day. He later followed up and called again saying he would have someone at our door at 8:30-9am the following day. That day is today and it's been 9 hours since a mechanic was supposed to arrive. Now they won't answer their phone and I never received a phone call all day.

Gray's is fantastic. They replaced my a/c condenser so affordably, it's unreal. Above all, the customer service is out of this world. They've gone above and beyond at every step in the process, from climbing over snow banks to get to my old unit, coming out on Saturdays, to moving my washer and dryer out of the way, coming back out for follow up services with no extra charge to me.
