Happily joining the chorus of five star reviews. My long-awaited, brand new splurge of a couch was delivered yesterday afternoon and simply would not make it through my apartment door. Fabio answered my phone call, quoted me less than the other places, and said he could be there within an hour and a half. I deferred to this morning instead and he was right on time. I was stressed and he immediately put me at ease saying, "Don't worry, it's almost over. Your couch is almost in your apartment!" A review 6 weeks late, but Fabio is the absolute best. Have a huge, beautiful, expensive bookcase the movers couldn't get into the apartment. I was sure I'd have to store it away forever in storage or sell it, which gutted me because it's the only nice piece of furniture I own. Fabio swooped in, cheaper than any other option, and figured out a solution immediately. Very efficient, very friendly, AND even helped accommodate for our sloping floors so the bookcase was stable. If we ever have a similar issue, we'll be contacting Fabio for sure!

I have a huge couch that wouldnt fit in my apartment. I was desperate so i loomed i to the couch doctor and dr sofa first but after doing my research and giving them a call, i realized theyre scammers and will overcharge for everything. They were so vague with their rates and charges but then i stumbled upon couch surgeon who was extremely responsive, gave a flat rate that they wouldn't increase no matter how complicated it got and they came within 2 hours of me contacting them. Fabio is NYC's only couch surgeon/doctor/repairman and more importantly, the only couch maker you'll find in the mix.
As someone who has tried the bigger companies in a pinch thinking I would get craftsmanship, do not be fooled - they will do whatever they can to move the couch, even if it means destroying it in the process. Fabio, however, understands how to build sofas, not simply disassemble and "reassemble" them like most other companies.

This guy was great! My dog tore up a couple of my couches and I don't have the means to bring my couch to an actual store (no car and also I'm a petite female that can't exactly carry). He came to my apt and sewed up the two couches with a pretty strong thread that I can't even see! Did an amazing job!

We moved to a new apt, and our movers could not get our couch to fit the elevator or the stairs, so they had to leave it in the first floor lounge while we tried to figure out how to quickly sell a couch. And then we learned about Fabio's business! He came over the next morning, and a couple hours later our couch was in our apt where it belonged, looking great. Highly recommend him!

Fabio is simply an expert. I bought a leather RH sofa secondhand and he had it moved and reassembled in an hour or two. He even carried it up 9 flights of stairs.
The previous owner had used a different company during their own move and Fabio showed me all the small details where they had been careless. Then, he fixed them.

These guys were great. After being stuck in a tricky predicament of ordering a couch that didn't fit in my buildings entrance I was told to call the couch doctor. I did a bunch of research and called 3 companies for quotes. They gave me the lowest quote and also the most responsive service.
When the delivery company delivered my couch 2 hours earlier than planned Sergio came only 45 minutes later and the job was done quickly and efficiently. So grateful to them!

I moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago and KNEW the narrow staircase would be an issue for my couch. Contacted the Couch Surgeon and he came, disassembled, moved, and reassembled my couch in... maybe an hour tops? Pretty impressive. He ALSO discovered a piece of my couch that was broken (some board or something) and managed to fix that in the process. Definitely recommend!!! Worth every penny.

Fabio did a great job with our 90" couch. Two different teams of movers had been unable to get it in the elevator and it was sitting in our building's foyer. I called him and he came over within three hours. He was able to get it into the elevator where all others had failed. Unfortunately, it wouldn't come out, so he efficiently dissassembled and reassembled it in our living room. The couch looks great and you would never know it had been taken apart. He was a total pro and brought everything he needed. I'll definitely contact him again, when it's time to move the couch

The couch surgeon came to my home and assisted me in moving a headboard that has been in my garage for a year since we moved into our new home. It was only necessary to partially disassembled the headboard which they did in about an hours time. They then move the headboard into my home and set it up in my bedroom. The service was wonderful and I was fortunate to have a headboard that I really always liked instead of having to scrap it and buy something else. I recommend them highly.

Fabio is the absolute best. His response time was unmatched and he really is a master of his craft. I wanted to take my larger couch and shorten it for my new apartment. He made it happen. This was not an easy job but yet in 2 hours I was sitting on my new couch. He and his son just know what they are doing.
Watching him take apart and reconstruct my couch was amazing. I am thrilled with the job he did. In fact his part that he fixed is constructed better than the rest of the couch.

This is an amazing service! I can’t recommend them enough. Their communication prior was so easy and clear. They provided an exact cost for the service and a clear time and date quickly. Fabio is amazing, quick, straight-forward, and just totally awesome. There are no frills with this. Seriously? Fabio is my hero. We were faced with the prospect of never seeing our $5,000 sofa again - a combination of too wide, too long, too tall and too leather was keeping it from winding its way into our new apartment. Thick problems. One call to Fabio and he was here the next day, exactly when he said he would be. He immediately got to work and less than an hour later all was right with the world. I mean, as right as anything can be in 2020.

A couch I had ordered wouldn't fit up my stairs. I arranged for Fabio and team to pick it up (for an addt'l fee) and deliver it into my apt.

I’m SO IMPRESSED by these guys! I’ve seen posts about how people were skeptical about all of the 5 star ratings.. I felt the same way. I have a big couch and was panicked about it not being able to fit into my new place. They had it disassembled, transported and reassembled in LESS THAN AN HOUR! I’ll definitely be using them again. Would recommend to anyone with the same problem!
