We engaged Jim and his crew to help us with a few special projects for our new home. (We kept expanding the scope as we were so pleased with their work!). They constructed a beautiful live-edge walnut bartop, a custom wine storage room, and a custom walnut table to fit a niche in our game room. In each case, the quality and the attention to detail were wonderful. Jim made suggestions in each case that enhanced the functionality and beauty of each piece. We will certainly not hesitate to contact Jim and his crew for future projects.

Some years ago I hired Jim to create a custom wardrobe to perfectly fit into this pocket at the corner of one of my bedrooms. It's cherry stained with two large doors each with frosted glass inserts in the middle. I had him paint the inside of the glass to get an opaque frosted glass look. It came out so beautiful. I came up with a simple CAD design and he made it a reality.

We moved into a new home about a year ago. Unsatisfied with our existing dining room buffet and unable to find a satisfactory one to purchase, we began investigating custom solutions. After researching local cabinet makers, we decided to email Jim Farris Cabinets. Within a day or two, Jim called and we discussed our needs. Jim came to the house, saw the space we were working with, listened to our conceptual ideas (our taste is modern/contemporary), and began proposing designs. I built a wooden dining room table with complex inlay top. I worked hard to finish the top, but was not satisfied with the results, and so asked Jim to make it look the way I wanted it to. (see the picture below of the finish work he did on the table I made). The work he and his team can do is incredible. I've seen a number of examples of his work, both large and small jobs. If you have a cabinetry or finishing job you want done right, Jim Farris is the guy!
