Here you'll find a brief history about how Beacon began. Our legacy is built on the commitment to provide quality products that meet the needs of those we serve. Our people are the secret to our success. Beacon Metals was founded in 1966 by John Riches. Just before the founding of Beacon Metals John worked for Buehner block.
Beacon CDL is innovating the way that doors and hardware are installed. Our installers can pre-install the hardware on the doors in our shop before anything is ever delivered to the job site, reducing clutter and storage space necessary on-site. Once they are delivered to the project, the "pre-installed" doors simply have to be swung in the opening.
We have completed projects all over the state of Utah as well as projects all over the world. Here is a small sampling of the projects we have been involved with through supplying door materials and other services such as installation. DHI is an association proudly serving door security and safety professionals, and the dynamic companies they represent, in the non-residential construction industry.
We supply single door openings and double door openings. Sizes vary by door type and can range from 1'6" wide to 4'0" wide (per door leaf) and 6'8" tall to 10'0" tall. We offer swinging commercial doors as well as sliding doors and pocket doors. We can provide doors in various designs including Flush, Narrow Lite, Full Glass, Half Glass, Vision Lite, Louver, Stile & Rail, and more!

We supply a broad range of solutions to meet fire ratings, STC ratings, or even radiation shielding all without compromising aesthetics. We offer our installation services for new construction as well as tenant improvement projects.
