I had a new driveway put in by Pittsford Paving. I had some pitch issues with my old driveway. Gus came out and came up with a plan to deal with those issues. When work started Gus was there to make sure everything was being completed according to plan. The driveway came out better than I had imagined.

I had Gus stop out a few times over the last few years to estimate a project of replacing my driveway and sidewalk. Gus understood my concerns and very happy with the results. It took a little longer then usual but it was worth the wait.

Did a great job Replacing our driveway about 10 years ago. They sealed it every other year since then. This year I asked for an estimate for an extension on the driveway and seal coating. This was three months ago. Called multiple times. I was assured that the owner would call me directly. No response. Don’t understand how people can run a business like this. Do yourself a favor, find someone else.

Pittsford Paving replaced the driveways at my last two houses. Gus is passionate about driveways and his experience is evident. He contacted me several times throughout the project to provide updates. Pittsford Paving also repaired my landscape wall and replaced the walkway on the recent project. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the results.

Terrible company and ownership. Five month wait from when we signed contract to job being performed. They also cut into and broke our invisible fence line when patching driveway. Called the owner Gus and proposed what I thought was an equitable resolution of paying quoted invoice for job less out of pocket expenses that I have to pay invisible fence to fix line. Gus not receptive to offered resolution and accused me of trying to steal from him and questioned whether his guys even broke the invisible fence line. Will not be using them again and will recommend others don’t as well.

I first want to say Gus knows the business. He might be a little standoffish at first but trust me it gets better. I had my driveway and sidewalk replaced last Summer and couldn't be happier. The process took some time, but its was worth the wait. The sidewalk looks amazing and held up the the winter without cracking. The driveway is perfect and I actually called back while I was in the stone stage and added a third lane due to kids returning from college. Thank you Gus for great service. I really appreciate all the hard work.

Called to have an estimate done to replace my driveway. Had a call on a Saturday from Gus saying he's outside with no prior warning. I was home and met with him outside to discuss what I wanted to get done.

I'm a project engineer on heavy civil projects that has built roads and bridges my whole adult life but I don't have access to equipment small enough to fit between houses to excavate the existing driveway. Somehow Gus was both incredibly condescending (like other reviews) and appeared to lack the skill required to do the job. I assume if you're listed as a paving company

I have placed 5 calls for a quote to Pittsford Paving over a monthlong period, none of which were returned. I both left a message and spoke with a receptionist, who told me, each time, that "Gus" would call me back. I left all my address and contact information multiple times and was not acknowledged. When I called back no one apologized or… ensured a response, just indicated "Gus" would call me.
Extremely poor customer service all around, would've appreciated at least a callback or an indication that they were not interested in our business.
Do not recommend, AVOID this company!

Decided to use a locally owned company for a small job. They were very timely on the quote, let me know I would be roughly 1-2 weeks out. However, they never followed through with the work. When I last called to check on my scheduling. I was told I would receive a call back - never happened. Sadly, I will not call this company again

Seeing some mixed reviews, I was initially hesitant to contact Pittsford Paving- however, seeing their work on houses in my area, I called anyway. So happy I did! Absolutely wonderful experience! I never met Gus, however, I did speak to him multiple times over the phone. He was more than helpful- he gave me sound advice. Very knowledge. I had my driveway re-paved and my front walkway, redone with pavers. Everything turned out beautiful. I didn’t pay a penny more than his estimate- which was very reasonable. His crew even removed a stone landscaping boarder for no extra charge.

The person who showed up was exceedingly hostile from the start. He dismissed my questions and proceeded to tell me he wouldn't do a driveway because I should have gotten the town to first solve my backyard drainage problem. His tone and manner were kind of stunning.

Very happy with the work done. Was a little put off by some of the other reviews of Gus, but we found him to be very nice and when we ask for something in the long run was not the right way to go, he very nicely explained why we should not do that. Also a fantastic crew.

I would give this company no stars if I could. I called to ask for a quote for some work on my driveway. Over a week later, Gus came out to look at it. While trying to explain what I wanted, he was condescending and rude. He questioned everything I said like I was an idiot and finally said, "I literally have no idea what you are talking about." What?? I was just trying to explain some work I would assume he talks about and hears about all day long. Sorry if I'm not using the right words, but I'd think he could figure it out. I am kind of the guy who do lots of research before buying anything. So I requested several quote for re paving the driveway, which is about normal size. Pittsford paving is by far the highest, which is almost doubled the price of the lowest quote. You may argue that their service may be different. I specifically ask them how they do it, and all of the company say the same thing, tear the old drive way down, put in some gravel and sands and repave the top part (same thickness). I heard good things about Pittsford paving, and they may do the job fine, buut seems like their price is too high.

I requested a bid and "Gus" met me at my home to discuss repaving my driveway. By the time I asked him to leave (perhaps 5 minutes), I felt insulted and intimidated.
I routinely do business with many people, companies, contractors; rarely do I meet someone like Gus. I will not do business with Pittsford Paving.

There are many bad reviews for this company yet I saw their work signs all over the neighborhood. I used them for a driveway resurface and was satisfied. They answered all my questions, were courteous and were flexible with schedule since I used another contractor for adjacent concrete work. Estimate was within $150 of cheapest company (3).

If those bad reviews were true, it appears they took the feedback onboard. I'm pleased and would use them again
