I had a flood in the apartment and I had to leave my apartment in a hurry so I packed my boxes as fast as I could and left. When I came back to the apartment to check everything, they, The ServePro of Fort Lee and they also call themselves SERVPRO of Western Union County located at 1121 Edgewater Avenue Unit 1, Ridgefield, NJ 07657, were already there. My landlord let them in. I packed boxes before I left and put them in front of my dresser. They were large boxes. EDIT: I am revising this review from 2 stars to 4 stars. Shortly after my initial review, one of SERVPRO's managers reached out to me.
After several conversations, we discovered that my experience did not meet company policy. I should have received a detailed estimate within the first 24-48 hours, and any updates due to things like discovering more damage than originally assessed should have been discussed with me before more work was performed. Also, after discussing with the crew that performed the work, the manager agreed that I may have been overcharged for some services.
In the end, SERVPRO

The experience of getting water damage in our apartment was stressful to say the least, but we had a great experience with Chris and his team. Our insurance made the process a lot longer than it had to be, but Chris was there to check in, move things along and clarify information—we appreciated how helpful and friendly he was. They don't do flooring, but we were provided a good referral that was able to help us find an exact match.

Rich from Serv-pro was on our property within just several hours after the insurance company contacted him. Rich assessed the damages to our property and determined what was needed to begin a massive cleanup effort after a 400 year old oak tree obliterated our garage and property. He also went out of his way to speak with our neighbors (who had debris on their property as well) to let them know that Serv-pro would be on site the next day with a dumpster and crew to remove all the debris.

Servpro was truly the best possible option for a difficult task for my family in a tense and serious epidemic which we know as Covid. A dear relative suffering from dementia was unable to upkeep her apartment in the most extreme and vulnerable of situations. The staff went above and beyond and I had constant updates along with the most sincere human kindness. A gentleman by the name of Manny made sure that at all time that work was not only professional and efficient but done with genuine kindness

I had an absolutely horrible experience with ServPro. Our basement flooded and I called them to take a look on Friday. I was immediately asked to provide a credit card and $500 deposit which would go towards any repairs and work which would be done over the weekend. However no one showed up over the weekend. I cleaned the basement myself. It has been a couple of months now and they have yet to refund my full deposit. I was promised a callback from managers a couple of times but never got any. Absolutely unreliable.

Nice people, but be careful as they underestimate projects. They charged my credit card even if they didn’t finish the job. They were supposed to brush and spray the entire house (but they didn’t brush the whole house). I have attached a picture to see their work (the left side is how ProServ left it, the right side is after I brushed it myself and cleaned it). And they charged my credit card without my permission. So just be careful.
