Our journey with Universal Air & Heat began in June. We had a couple sent to the house to replace our A/C unit and several air ducts. After several days of work, we remained without cool air coming from our vents so a supervisor was called in. He made two visits to the house and improved the system a bit. However, we were still seeing our system struggle with the heat. We accepted this as just a part of the FL heat. Fast forward a month and our inspection was finally scheduled with the city. I thought I did my research but apparently not. I was told by office to present my $99 coupon to tech when he arrives to clean my A/C ducts to honor it. Well, $199 later and no receipt given to my wife to explain the charges. I get home and she tells me the price and the tech told my wife for $200 under the table he would do the micro bacterial spray instead of the $399 company wanted to charge, she got conned. I have called them 4 times and have been hung up on when asking why my bill was different and the sleazy technician. He also told my wife some vent weren't dirty so they did not need

Our a/c stopped working on a Tuesday night, a very nice estimator named Joseph came the next day. The work was scheduled for the very next day, Thursday. The 2-man team arrived on time and did a very good job of replacing our defunct a/c. One had come in with an adequate mask, the other with a bandanna type mask which does nothing against Covid. I gave him a nk-95 mask automatically which he cheerfully used. Towards the end, another employee of Universal came to complete some paperwork, with no mask at all.

I purchased an yearly A/C maintenance contract and scheduled an appointment for a tune up. Two times they called less than 15 hours before the scheduled time to cancel, and two times they no showed. I have requested a refund. Let's see if I get that! Never provided a valid reason other than someone is not in your area. HORRIBLE!

I was staying at my aunts house, and her AC Went out, needless to stay we had to get it taken care of ASAP. I personally want to thank this company for being so quick and efficient. I called this company without knowing these reviews, otherwise I would not have called them. They charged 325 dollars to change one capacitor. The technician did not ask before changing whether we want to do it or not, which I believe it should be the minimum to do. He did not perform what was advertised in the ad, such as camera inspection for the ducts. He said that he did not have the camera with him. Before, when I called customer service to know why the technician was not on time (he supposed to be between 9-11) with no apology the person who answered the phone said that he was in his way

Many thanks to the owner of the company as well as the best HVAC technician in south Florida - Robert was able to come out and finally locate & fix the source of my leak which was a result of poor installation. After a long week, many phone calls, a lot of aggregation I am pleased to say I finally have a working AC. I had them install a new unit a little over two years ago. One of the reasons I went with them was there supposed commitment to service after the sale. I had an issue with the compressor last year which was resolved by them but had the same issues I'm having now with their service calls. I had a service call scheduled for a tuneup this past Friday with a schedule between 9 and 11 AM. I could not get off work so I had someone waiting at my house at 12 o'clock nobody has shown up so I called. I was told that the technician had an emergency and I would need to reschedule. DON'T DO IT, DON'T BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS BY A LOW PRICE. Read the reviews here! I agreed to have 8 A/C vents cleaned and my dryer vent. I've owned this house for 2 years and never had these checked. The tech went to where the dryer "vents" and pulled out a bunch of lint, he said "look what I pulled out of your vent" and showed me a few handfuls of lint. I was surprised, he then came inside and cleaned the A/C vents. At least I that is what he said, no proof that anything came out of the vents. Had a great experience with Universal. Responsive and friendly. Upfront pricing and no surprises. The team came on time, were professional and masked up. When the job was done they left the area clean and they gave me a tutorial and made sure I had no questions, leaving me a package (warranty, unit manual, etc.). And the best part, no complaints from the neighbors (especially since they needed a crane).

Updated to respond to Mr. Forgione: Sir, the ONLY thing you wrote that is true is that this "repair" was two months ago. The "repair" was scheduled on Dec. 30, 2020. Other than that, everything else you wrote was inaccurate and incorrect. We were NEVER given the price prior to the "repair". Very disappointed with this company. Deceptive practices. Stay away. We purchased a new AC and have had 4 service calls within 3 weeks. They deflect and take no responsibility. We now have mold and ceiling damage from ac water leaks in two rooms. And have to pay $30O extra for them to seal pipe connectors which was listed as included in the original installation. Paying our homeowners now $2500 deductible and need to deal with another company to remove mold and fix everything.

Made appointment in September for mid October install, but UAH had days mixed up and had to move date. Rescheduled for following week but UAH had parts unavailable. Third attempt mostly successful, but took two days to complete job when initially quoted 6-8 hours and was short one part. Made Yelp review and Mike from main office got the ball rolling on making it right. Still waiting for completion, but head office stays in touch when issue pop up. If I could give zero stars I would. I had two appointments with this company and they didn't call or show up for either one. I find this behaviour to be shameful and egregious! Its a very shabby way to treat a customer and especially a senior citizen in need of assistance. It will probably cost more to fix my problem because its been delayed due to their incompetence and like so many people I have been impacted by COVID-19. SHAME ON YOU!!!

They came out on Thursday 5/28/20 didn't fix anything and told us they would be out the following Monday 6/1/20 between 11-3 no show and no call from anyone, we had to call them to find out what was going on. They said that the tech. would be out Wednesday 6/3/20 between 8-11. My wife called around 9:30 in the morning to make sure the tech was going to show they insured us that he would, 11:20 rolls around no tech yet.
