Lake Travis Overhead Doors was founded by owner Doug Burd, a long-time resident of the Lake Travis area. Doug's father owned a garage-door repair business, which started in 1965. Doug grew up working in that business. When he was a little kid, it was nothing but heavy wooden doors, but Doug has watched the industry change over the decades with new materials and new technologies.
When you need Lake Travis garage door service, we don't charge a dime to come out and look at your garage-door issue. We often get called on very simple service calls that require only 10 minutes, and we never charge for this kind of service call! We want to earn your business and we know you'll call us when you have a significant garage-door repair.

Doug is a lifesaver! Our door spring broke last night trapping our cars in the garage. We struggled to open the door; it was MUCH heavier than the door at our previous home. We contacted Doug the next morning, and the repair was completed in less than three hours from the time of our call. The repair charge was reasonable, and he replaced both springs with higher quality parts that will last longer.

We live in Lakeway Vistas with 141 units and our HOA President recommended Doug when we had a problem. Excellent experience and customer service! My first experience was a free service call. Months later when the garage door started acting up again I called and they had someone out the next day. Even though I was unavailable they replaced the unit and sent me an invoice electronically. The price was better than anywhere else. I never saw anyone or had to do anything. Thanks Doug

What an awesome find! We were so thankful for Doug's promptness and help on a Sunday night during the holiday weekend when our garage door decided to get hung mid way! He was amazing! He answered the phone and was at our house within 30 minutes. He fixed our problem and was our super hero for the day! I called both Doug and one of his competitors for estimates to replace the springs on my garage door. Unlike his competitor, Doug was very professional and explained pricing options before he even saw my door, and arrived within an hour for the repair.
