Shames Construction, founded in 1987 by Barry Shames, started building retail store interiors. Within a few years, Carolyn Shames' management and expertise moved the company to building large, ground-up retail developments. She became the majority stockholder, obtaining woman-owned business status in 1991.

Took them over a year to do one area, and they still aren't finished with it, but they stopped and started a second area. The first area that did get opened up (a restroom) is so unprofessional looking. Cracked tiles, door locks not placed in the right spot originally and holes redrilled, so now there are extra holes in the door. Wall tiles not flush. Grout on the tiles. The list goes on. I have picture. Never have this company do anything for you.
