The Fence One Crew came out today to remove a wooden picket fence and replace with a vinyl fence. The quality of the material is great and the work theses 3 guys did all working quietly & diligently. They cleaned up all the scrap and even took away some leaves that were left after the fall cleanup. over all a very enjoyable experience and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Original fence was installed by two men, one who hit on me. The bottom were not secured correctly, and it is definitely not hurricane proof as advertised. It sways in the wind. I have had them come out once to fix it, and I think it was installed upside down. The handles are now upside down, and the doors continue to not shut correctly. I don't know if calling will do any good now, as I cannot remember if a lifetime warranty was offered.

Great job installing fence. I have had others install fencing for me before...the fence one crew was outstanding and did a great job. Extremely clean - surprising for a fence install! Giving it four stars as the sales process was very complicated. Errors on the quote, kept having to tell them to correct simple things (email address, amounts, etc) and like other reviews....no follow up after initial deposit. After two months, I called to ask for a update. At that point, was told that the price quote they gave me was off by $800. I don't think they were planning to ever call me after my initial

First of all that's all they do is fencing. A lot of the other companies try to do tree work, pavers, lawn mowing etc.
They have a number of crews and to say they work hard is an understatement. From taking down our old fence, to layout, to installing our new fence and hanging gates everything went smoothly and fast!
They are the only Activeyards dealer in this area and the fence they sell is clearly better than what the other fence companies are selling. On the vinyl privacy they have an interlocking picket

Absolutely thrilled with the job that was done. From the owner, to the salesman to the work crew everything was amazing. The fence is beautiful, makes my house look 1000x better. They were efficient as they set the whole fence in about 4 hours, came back a few days later to hang the gates to finish the job. Highly recommend!

Fence One is unreliable and unprofessional. I signed a quote with them on March 1stto repair a chain link fence in my yard. I chose them because my dog keeps escaping and we needed to repair and add tension wire to stop it. They told me it was 2-3 weeks lead time. I even called them back to add more work to the job in early April, but they never sent the quote. I called a few times in April and even early May (at that point, we're way past 2-3 weeks) and every time there was a different excuse and another 'we'll get that done in 2-3 weeks' time. Meanwhile, my dog keeps escaping

Similar experience to others. Communication ceased once deposit was made, strung along with no clear start time.
You get what you pay for. We went through Hone Depot to save some money, but man.. I regret it. Going out to rebuild a section of the fence right now that always blows over in windy conditions. I'm still making payments on this garbage vinyl fence.
They also failed to remove the concrete moorings from the old fence, which was part of the deal. We found them hidden in bushes later in the year. Nice.

Fence One was recommended by 2 neighbors who recently had fencing installed. Within a few weeks we had an estimate, a start date, and an installed fence. Al and Patrick were very professional, friendly, and easy to do business with. The crew did a great job with the install and clean up. The finished product looks great, we have privacy and our puppy has a secure area to bounce around. We would recommend Fence One.

My experience with Fence One was great from start to finish. I shopped around some before choosing. They were competitive and Al was attentive and had some good ideas about how to accomplish what I needed to accomplish.

We went to the Hartford Home and Garden show and were really excited when we met Patrick (the son) of a local father and son fence company. We were immediately impressed and walked away after meeting both of them knowing that, when we were ready for our fence project, we were going to trust Fence One! Unfortunately, this was the last time we were impressed.
Overall we were frustrated by this companies ability to communicate and deliver on promises. Really frustrating when you plan based on bad info but their quality of work is impressive.

Avoid Fence One at ALL costs unless you like being ignored, strung along, and don't really need a fence installed.
Owner visited the site on May 13th and provided a quote by email. Owner visited the site again on May 22nd and stated that the quote was reviewed and the value wasn't correct. Quote increased by over 30%!
Despite the increase, on May 24th a contract for work was signed, a deposit was given, temporary fencing was installed, and we were provided an anticipated start date of, "3 weeks from today" (June 14th).
Between May 24th and June 12th, NO communication was

I had a fence originally installed during the summer of 2013 - for that time period I would give the company 5 stars - they lived up to all they said they would do - and actually went above beyond to ensure the fence was completed by a specific date.
Fast forward to now. In November 2018 a section of my fence broke an fell down. I emailed pictures to the email address on the website asking for an estimate to repair the one section. No Answer.
After the first of the year I completed their online form stating that the fence was damaged and I would like an estimate to have it repaired. Filling

I have used Fence One for both my home and business. While comparing to other bids, I found them to have a very reasonable quote for the jobs. Patrick was really attentive to many adjustments we had to make throughout the job, and was able to add in some custom fixes to some existing problems we had. The final bill was as expected and the results are very functional and looks great.

Thank you, Fence One, for the beautiful work you did to replace a section of our fence that came down during one of the many Nor'easters of early 2018. The part of the fence that came down was an older, cedar fence that didn't match the newer fence that had been installed a few years ago by prior owners. You were able to not only match the newer part of the fence but also fortify the entire fence and make sure there were no gaps. The work had to be done at the top of a precarious hillside and you navigated it perfectly. The gentlemen were courteous and made sure I understood the work

Insanely disappointed !!! Considering contacting BBB soon . First off it took them over 5 week after taking my deposit to start the job . I had called multiple times to ask when it would being and Patrick kept pushing me back over and over again ! Saying they would be there and NEVER showed up ! When they finally had their guys come out they sent 3 guys that left their beer bottle caps in my yard and saw them peeing in my yard !! I was home and they could have asked to use the bathroom ! They did a horrible job ! Said it would be custom made to be level with the ground because I have a small dog

Completely professional experience, beautiful installation, and top-notch owners and crew. Al and Patrick stand behind their work, and their price was competitive (and matched their online estimator). Fence-One installed white vinyl fencing calling ahead to schedule and showing up as promised. They used lots of poured in concrete, leveled everything out, even while dealing with some roots. They removed the old fence and even some additional scrap wood in the yard. I would recommend these guys without hesitation to anyone looking for a new fence.
