Our HOA has used Sikes for many years but as the new HOA president since they last paved out roads and as the project manager for our major Tubbs fire rebuild project during the last 4 years it was refreshing to work with a contractor who was on time, did great work, was attentive to detail, and was done ahead of schedule. Jake and his crew did excellent work on our retail center parking lot. They worked hard to accommodate our tenant's parking needs during the job and developed a plan to keep traffic moving and minimize any parking issues. Sikes just completed a large residential road/driveway project for us. Color me impressed! They were super responsive from the first call to executing the project. The price was fair (not the cheapest) but I really appreciated the transparency and honesty during the negotiation.
The work was done quickly and the initial quality of the work is superb. The large and highly experienced crew coupled with the updated equipment clearly helped to deliver this rare combination of speed and quality. Jake's crew performed a literal facelift to an ancient driveway and parking lot at our new therapy offices on Forth Street in Santa Rosa. The previous owners didn't see the liability hazard the lot was, and it became a top priority for us to make it safe and usable upon taking new ownership. Heed caution using Sikes asphalt. Sikes does not install asphalt according to their written quote. They will quote you 4" thick asphalt (with two 2" lifts of asphalt) but will actually only give you one 2" lift when they are laying it with the paver. Also, they won't address any issues with the base layer. Base rock is what supports your asphalt. They will pave over unsupported base rock. I guess if you want your job to look like lipstick on a pig, by all means, use Sikes. They aren't the cheapest either for their lack of professionalism.... pretty much on par with the

We got 4 quotes. They tied for cheapest, and had the best customer service. Calling and emailing to make sure all our questions were answered. Scheduling was easy. Someone came by the day before to talk again about the plan. They day of they showed up on time, with the owner! They did extra for us, beyond what they had bid out, and gave recommendations on what we could do on our own drainage wise to save money.
It was a pretty small job, but they never made us feel that way. They clearly not only do a good job but know how to treat a customer. I would highly recommend using this company!

Jake Sikes, and his crew did the original asphalt work on my road about 22 years ago. It has held up incredibly well. I had them back to patch and seal coat this week. They are simply the best. Jake is hands on. Along with Bill and Jeff, they are hardworking, straight shooters.

We had a rather large project at Russian River Covered RV Storage in Healdsburg. There were some quirks that came along with this project as we were going over a very rough and broken chip seal surface. Sikes took great care with our almost 500 tenants that store their boats and RVs here. Prior to beginning the job Jake put a lot of thought in the planning from getting the driveways cleaned, measured properly and how we could do this with minimal interuption of business.
Everyone is so pleased with how smooth the driveways are to drive on and how much less dust we are all are dealing with.

This past week we had Sikes Asphalt took out our old driveway, regraded and repaved our 2500 sq. ft. driveway. It is beautiful now but the best part was the professionalism from absolutely everyone in this company. The owner, the scheduler, the office staff and all the workers who worked so hard and did a great job.
We were nervous about having the job done right because our house sits lower than the street so it was imperative that the drainage was done correctly and it was!
