Todd Dearth was the General Contractor for two projects at our home in the Barton Hills area. The first was an interior fireplace and feature wall and the second an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. The results were fantastic, quality work, attention to every detail and an "ease of doing business" which is hard to come by. Todd will be our number one pick for our next project.

Todd Dearth and his team were quick to respond to our needs. After listening to our thoughts and desires, they put a plan together and it was expedited right on time. We were able to enjoy our new outdoor patio during the holidays! They were also gracious to help us with small repairs while staying focused on the big task at hand.

We worked with Todd Dearth when we did a major remodeling project on a home we purchased. Todd was the original builder, and the former owner highly recommended him. We couldn’t have been more pleased with his efforts - Todd had a exceptional attention to quality, gave us good ideas, and completed our multi-faceted project on schedule.
Two things in particular stand out to us - almost every craft worker Todd used had been with him for many years (they all worked on the original home building). And, those who see our addition cannot tell it wasn’t original to the home - seamless!

We consulted with three different builders before selecting Todd for our major remodel. Todd's vision, experience and commitment to our budget and timeline made him the easy choice. He converted an existing garage and added a foyer, laundry, garage and apartment. His design took into account the existing driveway, gardens and oak trees. Dearth Design and Construction designed and built our retirement home in 2017.
