Herrin Landscape Design is a Northern California based firm specializing in site planning and custom garden design for private residences throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We work closely with our clients in a hands-on, collaborative fashion to create site-specific solutions.
Through a structured approach, we identify our clients' needs and desires, in order to generate landscape plans that both respond to, and enrich our clients' lifestyles.Utilizing a diverse plant and materials pallet, we work across a broad spectrum of garden styles, from Traditional English Garden to California Contemporary.
Where advantageous, we incorporate California regionally appropriate as well as native and low maintenance planting, adding both sustainability and vitality to the gardens we create. As a component of our services we will navigate the permitting process and work with the landscape contractor and sub-contractors on the client's behalf to oversee project installation and completion.

A professional landscape and furniture designer, Mike Herrin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a strong affinity and connection to the outdoor he is attune to the varied micro climates the Bay Area has to offer. Since founding Herrin Landscape Design in 2009, he has worn the many hats that come with being an entrepreneur, business owner, and operator.
Starting with a discussion about how you'd like to use your yard, we can design your outdoor space to fit your aesthetic and lifestyle. Permits - preparation of permit application documents, navigating the approval process and attaining Planning and Building Permits. It takes time for the living elements of your landscape to mature and the vision to be realized.
