Knowing what I know now, I would have gladly paid more to a different company to avoid all the headaches of dealing with Oz for my long distance move. Oz lied to me multiple times about where my items were and when they would be delivered. I went an extra 2 weeks beyond their delivery window without any of my items. Despite constantly calling and emailing to get updates, they would not respond or respond very slowly. The driver they hired to deliver my items, and the rest of his team, were very rude and even hung up the phone on me because they had no answer for why my items kept getting delayed

Today, Oz Moving company delivered my furniture. We had initially set a virtual walkthrough to get an estimate. Once they came to pack our stuff, they charged us $2,500 more than the estimate, which means you cannot trust their estimate process. While packing, after I bought the crew lunch and was throwing the trash away, I saw they had broken… glassware and had not bothered to mention it or to tell us. I had also set aside important documents in a bag and told them not to pack it. This accidentally got packed.

They were on time, professional, careful, knew what they were doing, and honestly the best movers we ever used! The pricing was reasonable, and the service we received was above and beyond what I expected! We have moved several times and have some horror stories with movers so I went into this move on edge. They were seriously the best and when we move again it will be Oz moving all the way!

I used Oz moving in 2017 to move from Bed Stuy to Brooklyn Heights, and they were phenomenal. I used them again for a recent move from Flatbush and Brooklyn Heights to Philadelphia and they broke my front door, broke a ceiling fan at the destination, and one of the movers had the audacity to count the tip (15%, which I think was more than fair, considering) in front of me. Despite the fact that they say that they will "never ask for tips" the coordinator of the move emphasized they expect tips, 20%, in cash which I was already more than happy to pay IF the move went smoothly. The whole process was so convenient! From getting a detailed quote, to the response time of my contact at the company, to how fast and efficient the movers were on the day of the move I would recommend Oz to anyone who asks. Thankfully it was only a local move within NYC but each one of my items were cared for as if it were their own and the big pieces were disassembled and reassembled perfectly! My sister used them for her move two years ago and I have to say it was the best decision I made to use them as well.

I have been sent a Cease and Desist letter by their family law attorney and I cannot afford a lawsuit. In my previous review I summarized since the move was 8 months ago, but now I'll include every fact. Also, I have reported Oz to Yelp as Nancy, the general manager, has called me when I never provided my phone number to her and has emailed me at two personal email addresses that I never provided to her as well. I had asked her to stop harassing me and then two days later I received a Cease and Desist letter. These are the facts of my move:

I would recommend any potential long-distance mover to PLEASE read all the bad reviews of Oz Moving in yelp. Terrible service. Poor quality and adding all the extra costs we ended up paying more than if we used one of the big (professional) movers. They broke any possible valuable item we had including TV, computer monitors, wall mirrors, glass table and other pieces of furniture. Be careful with contract conditions. They promise a delivery date over the… phone, in the contract they specify delivery in "14 business days from the first customer available date" which then they change kind of arbitrary based on the fact they have availability of trucks or not. They were great. They were on time, efficient, and managed to move am entertainment center that I was going to toss out due to it being assembled with wooden dowels and cams. Oz gave us the most fair pricing out of the many moving companies and responded in a timely manner. I was able to quickly and easily update my pack list and get my quote reworked. Day of - Juan and his team arrived on time, went through all of the details of how the move will go and got to work. This company lacks integrity and competent office staff. Logistically they failed and were basically unapologetic. The movers lack professionalism and caused thousands of dollars of damage (see images) After a lengthy process with their Claims department, they issued a $6 check.
