The length of Ark engineered flooring ranges from 1' to 4' (a few products come in 1' to 6' and 1' to 6.3'), with an average length of 2.3' (a few products come in 2.5'). Each plank's durable surface uses six layers of "cross-grained" natural hardwood under a premium top layer of your chosen hardwood species topped off with nine coats of our long-wearing, eco-friendly finish.
The allure of exotic hardwood lies not only in its beauty, but also in the value it adds to the home. When choosing exotic hardwood, keep in mind the following facts. Exotic woods are generally much harder than the standard red oak, therefore they to tend to have more longevity than domestic wood in similar environments.
Unless otherwise indicated, ARK FLOORS products are finished with nine coats of eco-friendly, long wearing, UV finish with aluminum oxide, which is permeated into each plank for lasting beauty. A: Like fine wine, most exotic species will "age" (darken) over time. Though our finishes are extremely durable they are still sensitive to UV Rays.

Went to a company that sales various flooring companies and strongly recommended to stay away from ark wood flooring. They said they have had bad experiences when the company delivered the product. Get various colors in the box and the quality will buckle overtime. They literally told me to stay away from this company.

They do not stand behind their product. They are difficult to work with. Their stair nose products do not stand up to wear. Mine had huge dents and scratches after one week! This was wearing slippers and socks up and down the stairs. Some wear and tear like scratches I understand, but not chunks out of the wood. I would not recommend anyone buy from this company.

We bought dark oak wood floor from Ark Floors three years ago for the dining room and everything still looks perfect and is very durable. No scratches and no damage from the dining chairs.
We bought the same floor three years later for the living room and kitchen area right next to the dining room as we wanted to have matching floors in our house. The sales person recommended to get the same floor with the same item number as it would be the closest we can get color-wise. Just after two months the color started chipping off and it was easily scratched from whatever we did. We contacted Ark Floors

I called on the phone, spoke to Desiree who was extremely unhelpful and rude. I guess they don't want my business. Flooring is a very competitive business, and with customer service like this, they won't last long. It also makes me wonder about the quality of their product. Is it as poor as their customer service? After the unpleasant phone call, I will not buy their product.
