Archaeon
Archaeon is a nationally recognized and published, award winning architecture firm, known for our ability to deliver practical yet creative residential and commercial architectural designs, clever renovations and stunning commercial interiors. Archaeon also offers Design/Build services through our relationships with local builders.

We are headquartered in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area and conveniently located near Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Alexandria, Arlington, Georgetown, Great Falls, McLean, Potomac, and Tysons Corner. Our architects believe that great spaces are measured by those who inhabit them - not by those who design them.

As such, we create functional, client-inspired designs - interior and exterior spaces - that reflect the way people live, work, and relax. We design environments for our clients to fit their specific needs and incorporate energy efficient systems, design techniques, and renewable resources wherever feasible.
Services
Archaeon was founded in 1986 by Principal Robert Wilkoff, a graduate of the Pratt Institute School of Architecture and NCARB member. Based in Cabin John, Maryland, Archaeon has provided a wide range of residential and commercial solutions in the greater Washington, DC area and around the world.
Robert has been practicing architecture for over 35 years, ever since earning his Bachelors of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Well-versed in projects ranging from small residential additions to new commercial facilities, he brings his passion for creating fresh environments for clients with a focus on energy-efficient and sustainable design.
At Archaeon, we want you to love your new home or renovated space. To that end, we listen intently to your wants and needs. We research alternative materials, collaborate with you throughout the process and develop solutions that will create that perfect space. We respect preferences and budget, and endeavor to ensure that every project is reasonably priced.
By working with the right architecture firm, you can get a better picture of the real costs before construction begins, and with the right upfront planning, you greatly reduce the possibility of having to deal with hidden fees or significant unexpected costs.
Whether you are thinking about adding on, renovating, or building a home from scratch, you are not alone in feeling overwhelmed about how and where to begin the process. We have developed the following set of questions to help our clients explore their imaginations, and save time and money in the design/build process.
