All of the staff that work here are extremely helpful and kind! They have a ton of selection and they helped us to put together different looks that would flow together for an open living room and dinning room. We are extremely happy with our purchases and feel it was good quality furniture for the price. We highly recommend this store for all your furniture needs.

I was looking to replace my living room seating and was told about Modelhom. I live in Grover Beach so I was surprised to learn that we had this great furniture store just down the street. We went to look and ended up purchasing a couch and two recliners. I was amazed at the selections and their ability to get you custom features and fabrics. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money and I was thrilled to get a brand new 3-seat sofa for $1100! It is very comfortable and the fabric repels liquids. I live all the way in Paso Robles and was looking for a really good quality couch for an affordable price (I'm a 21 years old and can't afford to drop 3-4K on a couch). I went to couch potato here in Paso and the guy gave me a quote of over $3,000 which wasn't going to do. I then went on yelp to find a furniture store with great ratings, and Modelhom definitely lives up to their rating! Michelle was recommended by friends, former clients who had requested her help on return visits to Modelhom. They loved her patience listening to their needs and expertise locating furniture in their style while saving them money over other stores/sites. We trusted her judgement, having seen her results in their homes. When we making a major move, she found quality construction in furniture for us, at good prices, for multiple rooms. Shopping for new furniture is not easy for us. We have a small space, and wanted something that was comfortable, beautiful, well made, and within our modest budget. We looked at all of the stores within about 50 miles of our home, and came to Modelhom last because we thought it was just a catalog store. We were so surprised that they have a large showroom that you can see exactly what you're getting, buy in stock, or custom order.

Everyone there is helpful and friendly. I ordered a sleigh bed and night stand and worked with Michelle to find the perfect mattress and box spring. She did her research and did find it. My husband and I had heard of Modelhom through friends of ours and were impressed with what we saw. We decided to start by having Karen come to our home and help us with ideas to refresh our living space before we made any purchases. From there we made a visit to the show room where there was a wide variety of furnishings to fit almost anyone's taste. We were greeted by a very professional staff and they (together) took the time to find us the items that specifically fit our needs. Located in an off-the-beaten path area of Grover, this little shop features catalogs full of wonderful items you can order with samples of fabrics available to take home and test out. Many of the items are on the floor so you can see how the cushions will feel, etc. and the staff is very kind and helpful. We haven't yet placed an order but others in our neighborhood have had very good success and recommended we stop by. I'm glad we did. It is a great find- with lots to offer if you are in the market for furniture or mattresses.

Locally owned and operated, "modelhom" is a nice shop with an ever changing display of furniture along with lamps, rugs and accessories that are set up in vignettes throughout the store.
The best part is that Karen or Michelle, for a reasonable fee, will do an in home consultation where they discuss your needs, check out your personal style and do any necessary measuring. Next, they schedule a private appointment in the store and after doing their homework meet with you again to offer suggestions including fabric samples, color options, etc.

I purchased a sofa in the perfect style, perfect color, and perfect price. However, the back cushions were so full of fluff they consumed most of the seat. I had to unzip them and remove enough fluff so that there was room to sit. The seat fabric appears to be a different dye lot from the rest of the sofa (slightly darker) and it wrinkles! So overall the sofa is the lowest quality sofa i have ever purchased. However, the price was great, the color was great, it's comfortable and I got what i wanted for a price i could afford. This is a rare find! Open to the public Thursday they Saturday (designers Tuesday and Wednesday) the have a large selection of furniture, lamps, area rugs, etc at reasonable prices.
We have purchased three couches, an area rug, coffee table and corner table with no regrets.
Check them out and be pleasantly surprised.

Modelhom is a fantastic place to shop. Karen and Michelle are extremely talented and helpful when it comes to decorating as well as furniture. Karen came to my house for a color consultation and helped me choose colors for accent walls. She has a very good color sense and these small changes have brought my home to a different level. She worked with the things I already own and love and helped me to add some new pieces and art work to bring it all together. They have numerous resources so if they don't have it in the store, they can find it for you. I love this store!

I was very happy with Modelhom's excellent service and reasonable prices. Karen and her staff are very knowledgable when it comes to fabrics and furniture styles. I brought in my room measurements, paint colors, and a few photos of my home on my phone. Karen was able to help me choose a sofa, loveseat and coffeetable that not only fit my room perfectly, but looked great against my paint color and even matched my floor rug! I would not hesitate to order anything from Modelhom again.
