All of our cabinetry is custom. If you want your cabinets tall, short, deep, wide, decorated with twig work, hand-carved, unusual wood, with oil paintings etc., this is what we do. If you are a person who values attention to detail and enjoys a collaborative design process, we would love to work with you.

Services
The Post family is rooted in the traditions of the Adirondacks, with generations of ancestry from the Champlain Valley and Adirondack mountains of New York. Larry and Joann have had a keen interest in the indigenous arts and furniture of the North Country-both as collectors themselves and artists. Larry has worked in cabinetmaking for over 30 years.
The Post Family has always been artistic. We love building unique, artful furniture in the Adirondack rustic genre. Furniture design, furniture building, fine art and wood carving is what our family does best. Combining those elements makes our creations truly unique. Our inspiration comes from nature.
The Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake (now called the Adirondack Experience museum) hosts an annual gathering of artisans from far and wide who showcase their finest work on the lawns of the Museum. We have been honored to be invited to exhibit since 2009. The Rustic Fair is a great venue for those seeking rustic furniture from the most renowned names in the business.
Larry and Joann Post are our Adirondack Treasures. They have helped us to be good stewards of our historic great camp property with their creative ideas on renovations along with custom furniture, cabinetry and design work. Would not do a project without them. Larry and Joann Post not only created a beautiful bed they drove down to our home in the Adirondacks to install it.
We are pleased to work with interior designers, architects and general contractors. We will work from your detailed design drawing and provide you with any needed feedback based on our unique materials. Our goal is to produce the highest quality product based on your design. L. Post Rustics is the ultimate in quality and experience. We have worked with them for years doing custom furniture and have never been left wanting. This new store combines the best of the Adirondacks -- skilled artisans from all over the park. It's brilliant to have so many styles and offerings ready to go. A most welcome addition to Lake Placid!

The talent of this family is incredible! Their rustic Adirondack furniture pieces are truly unique. The carvings intricately depict plants and animals of the region. The shop features both the work of the Award winning Post family and local artisans. So many gorgeous products including furniture, lamps, sculptures, and paintings. I live in Minnesota lake country and stopped by the shop while visiting Lake Placid. These rustic Adirondack pieces would be a beautiful addition to any lake home.

I stopped at L. post Rustics while travelling thru Lake Placid. The quality of the work is breathtaking. Truly unique pieces with unbelievable attention to detail. The artists love of the natural world is evident in each piece. The woman in the showroom took the time to describe the pieces ,each with it's own story. I cannot recommend this enough!

We couldn't be happier with our clock purchase from L. Post Rustics. The opening of their shop is a great opportunity to see some of the truly great artistic talent this area has to share. The Post family's work and attention to detail in their furniture is outstanding. From the craftsmanship of the piece itself to the twig and birch detail, intricate carvings or beautiful paintings that highlight the individual pieces, there is great care the materials used as wells the final finish on each piece. The shop is welcoming and beautifully set up. The work of many local artisans can be seen throughout
