STOP Searching and just hire John Harding as your builder, seriously.
Where to start.. contacted John and described our property and our goals for building a custom home. We spoke on the phone, he went over what he and his team does, his values, and what to look for and what to watch out for. We immediately had a great feeling about John and asked him to come meet us. I met John on a rainy day on our property in Indian land SC. Heavily heavily wooded and we wanted to build a house there, seemed almost impossible. We walked around the woods, he had his tape measure in hand and happily answered

We shopped the market before going with Harding Custom Homes. Besides their great prices that beat out everyone in the same construction field, they operate with a top notch crew. Harding Custom Homes has a great reputation around York which is why my husband and I decided to use them to build our new home. John was amazing during the entire process, he made sure that everyone who needed to be there was on top of their project. The craftsmanship was bar none and they even finished ahead of schedule. If we ever decide to do more work we'll call John.
