CalSun Electric & Solar has installed a Hot tub and solar system for our family. The service was outstanding. Pricing was competitive and when you consider the personal service, clear and concise agreement, and excellent workmanship, the cost was totally worth it. With regard to the absolute cost of the solar(rebates, tax incentives, etc), the system has completely paid for itself in less than 5 years! Chad from CalSun said this may be the case... but.. you're never sure when you jump in. Now looking at it, and my electric bills, he was dead right! I will continue to use CalSun for solar upgrades

My wife and I did extensive shopping around on local solar companies in Paso and met with reps from three different companies. After talking with Chad, the choice to go with CalSun was a no brainer. Not only did they offer the best price, but their friendliness, efficiency and quality of work is top notch. Like another reviewer mentioned, Chad (owner) really does have your best interest at heart and if solar is not right for you at this time, I'm sure he would tell you. If it was possible to give more than five stars I would.

A+ for honesty and integrity! I called Chad about a small house solar system, and with several challenging roof problems, Chad spent a lot of time trying to make the system work to fill our electrical needs. He even contacted the fire dept to see if any codes would be a factor. In the end, he recommended AGAINST getting a solar system because he could only fit enough panels that would fill 50% of our electrical needs. This would still have been in the $20K-$34k range depending on back up batteries, etc. Other companies that I contacted DID NOT TELL ME THAT!. So buyer beware. Getting someone like

"DON'T SIGN a solar contract UNTIL you've met with CalSun." BEST ADVICE I ever got. Everyone sells same panels, same converters... pretty much same price. So when selecting installer, pick the one that's going to explain the alternatives, show up, deliver on schedule, follow up after install. From introduction to completion, you'll understand why. Price, value, experience. Ask for Mike. You'll thank me!
