A Beautiful Company was founded in 1994 by brothers Alex and Petrit Marku. Brothers Chris and Giovanni joined the company as it grew over time. To this day, the firm continues to be family owned and operated. Despite its substantial expansion, A Beautiful Company has not lost sight of its founding principles of integrity, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
There are a lot of custom builders in Connecticut, and it can be difficult to determine the difference from one to the next. So what makes A Beautiful Company different? When you work with us, you are not required to work with an in-house architect. While we're happy to recommend one, the choice is always yours.
For most people, having a home custom built for their family is something they have looked forward to for years, if not decades. After poring over magazines and pinning every gorgeous space that caught your eye on Pinterest, your "dream home" begins to take shape in your mind. It is more than a place that will provide shelter for you family.
Never has the old adage, "The kitchen is the heart of home, " been truer. What was once a utilitarian space kept hidden way behind a firmly closed door has morphed into the space where we spend time together as a family and gather with friends for relaxed evenings at home. Love my new kitchen thanks to A Beautiful Co. I had a small, old and antiquated kitchen that needed a wrecking ball and a complete redesign. Alex listened to what I wanted and offered his professional advice as needed. He was great to work with. He and his staff were punctual, professional and friendly. Alex is very organized and was an awesome communicator. I always knew what was happening next during the various stages of the project. Want to also send a shout out to Chris and Carl who are amazing at what they do. My dream kitchen is now a reality and I am so happy that it was A Beautiful Co

Owners son (employee) was out in a family friendly place bragging about working for the company and talking poorly about those he’s in charge of while CONSTANTLY swearing and being completely disrespectful to other customers. He was loud, obnoxious & bad mouthing many patrons and children. Disgraceful!!!!

Alex had one of his crew come over to look at a retaining wall repair. He arrived at the exact time, looked at the problem long enough to determine what the repair options were. The best option for us was a far superior result, and at a price less than a basic repair.
The work started the day as designated, finished a day early, at the exact price quoted, and ALL debris was gone, and you couldn't tell they had been there.
P.S.- for the record, Alex doesn't have children, and is a well mannered gentleman in all of my dealings with him,...please consider that when reading the derogatory review

Our initial meeting with Alex sold us on his team doing our whole house renovation with a 400 square foot addition. His eye for detail and creative vision, along with his ability to manage all contractors was impressive. Alex always accommodated our suggestions and feedback. I’m amazed at his diligence, craftsmen ship, timeline and overall work ethic. The project was on time and within budget, amazing! We are overwhelmed with the final result. We highly recommend him and his time.
