I've worked with several DC contractors in the last two decades, and Alex and his team are hands down, by far, the best!
Alex knows how to complete a project from gutting a whole property to adding doorstops --you won't be left hanging with any leftovers with Alex. He's phenomenal at restoring old properties while maintaining their original features and character, solution-driven when you have a design idea that you're trying to make work, a wizard with wood and metal (from decks to interiors), and he can turn what appears to be junk metal into a Parisian looking Juliette

We have done a few projects with Alex and the team, including a kitchen exhaust pipe installation, and a deck extension. They are by far the most reliable team I've worked with on home projects - they show up on time, and do the job incredibly well every single time. His staff is also really friendly and easy to interact with.
Ultimately, I feel that Alex is genuinely thinking about how to help us, without breaking the bank. He'll often tell me easier and cheaper ways to do something than I had thought of myself.

I hired GEM Brothers for a painting job at my home after receiving a quote from Alex. Alex followed up with a proposal which was sent via Emil and the work was scheduled. The painter arrived as scheduled and did a fantastic job. I was satisfied with the completed work. Service and customer service is fantastic. Recommend highly!!!

These guys were the best. I had a list of items that needed attention in my house and Alex came by to give me an estimate. He took his time and walked through each item with me and presented me with options right then and there. Once he came by to do the work I realized that Alex and his crew are very good at what they do. Quality work and attention to detail, fast, professional, trustworthy and cleaned up after themselves. Can't say enough about GEM brothers. My projects included electric work, drywall work, painting and plumbing and they did it all flawlessly.
