We recently held the annual toy "Techs for Tots" toy drive collecting new toy donations from our generous community members. The toy drive was very successful and toys were shared at the Spirit Lake Elementary School and Upper Des Moines of Spirit Lake. Comfortec is honored to be part of helping to ensure that as many children as possible have a new toy to open during the holidays.

Buyer Beware! Just under 10 yrs ago we purchased a geo-thermal system for our home from Comfortec. We found out the hard way, (electrical burnout of our control panel) that it had been installed improperly. Comfortec fixed the problem and never apologized for their mistakes. We recently needed a repair to the compressor for the AC during a very hot weekend and the tech said that in 3 days, the office would call and set up an appointment. They never called. My husband called to find out when they'd be coming and the office person casually said, "We don't service your area anymore." What? We never

Will not give general estimates for future project planning. Typical cost varies from $7,000 to over $25,000. Did not even try to walk through the options and variables that affect the cost. Maybe later I would have a better time working with them but if this is the initial communication, I'd hate to have to work with them if anything was going wrong or needed fixed.

If this rating scale had a ten star I would give them a 10 star rating !! I am the chairman of the trustees for the United Methodist Church in Estherville, IA. Over the last couple of years this company has changed out 8 furnaces and 5 air conditioners. We still have some furnaces and A/C units to be changed in the future. The latest project they did for us was a complete re-plumbing of our sewer system. Both these projects were large projects in our eyes. We went out and got other bids for both projects and this company came in both times with the best price, best warranty and best service contract

We have been a customer for a new toilet. The service man was very polite and took his shoes off upon entering our home. He respected our space, did a great job! We own a small business and my husband commented that we needed to have the person that answered the phone and scheduled the service as part of our team. She was excellent. Highly recommend this company!

These guys are really a bunch of scumbags. $180 an hour to come out and have somebody unqualified work on my furnace. No wonder everybody told me to stay away from them. They even charged $65 to walk in the door and tell me what I told them was wrong with my furnace. The kid that worked on my furnace looked like he was 16 and knew less than I did about low voltage
