In Boulder County, off of North 95th St, over 3,200 solar panels creates a 1.2 MW community solar garden - enough to power over 300 homes. Jack's Solar Garden will be a model for farmers along the Front Range on how to produce renewable energy while improving agricultural production via agrivoltaics. Place your email address in the box below and we will reach out to you with more information about Jack's Solar Garden and opportunities to become involved with our project!
Services
Jack's Solar Garden is a family owned social enterprise doing more with our family farm for the betterment of our community. Through our partnerships with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Colorado State University, and the University of Arizona, Jack's Solar Garden will put valuable research into the public sphere on co-locating solar panels with agriculture - called agrivoltaics.
Off of North 95th Street in Boulder County, my grandfather, Jack, bought my family's farm in 1972. Here, Jack farmed hay and wheat to support his family until 1980 when he passed away. Through the summer of 2019, hay production continued even though it has become less and less economically viable on our 24-acre farm.
