Almost 100 years later, his grandson, Tom Nelson, who has been with Otto Nelson for 59 years, co-owns the company with George Follensbee, who has 34 years of experience in the moving industry, and Jeff Zastoupil, who has worked at Otto Nelson for more than a dozen years.Over 20 years ago Tom and George also founded T&G Mayflower Transfer & Storage to offer Kenosha area residents a local moving company with the backing of a national brand.

Whether you're moving across town or just need to store some things for awhile, Otto Nelson Moving and Storage offers exactly what you need for storing your precious items! We offer on-premises, secure short- or long-term vaulted storage space for household goods. We also have secure outdoor storage available for RVs, boats, autos or other types of transportation, recreational vehicles or equipment.
At United, we use specially designed packing materials and professional packing techniques to protect your belongings. Limiting cartons, when possible, to a maximum weight of 50 pounds to make handling easier. Before your things are packed and loaded, please take some time to look over the items that we cannot put on a truck or in a container.

Standardized carton sizes provide a rigid, shift-free arrangement in the moving van. Unprinted newsprint sheets, acid-free tissue, tufted paper padding and bubble wrap are available.
Limiting cartons, when possible, to a maximum weight of 50 pounds to make handling easier. Empty drawers of breakables, spillables, items not recommended for inclusion in your shipment and anything that would puncture or damage other items. However, blankets, sweaters, lingerie, bath towels and similar soft, lightweight goods may be left in drawers.

Otto Nelson is truly a five star company. They moved us twice in 6 months first after we sold our house to an apartment and then from an apartment to the new house we built. Their attention to detail their willingness to to go above and beyond to ensure that everything in this move goes as smoothly as possible is truly amazing in this day and age.

I highly recommend Otto Nelson for any of your moving needs, they are AMAZING! I did a long distance move from the Chicago area to NYC, it was handled primarily by John and Mikki. John was so knowledgeable and helpful and helped me understand how much space I would need via a facetime. The day of pack up the movers were professional and efficient - it was done in under an hour and I had A LOT of boxes. All of my belongings arrived in-tact and even earlier than anticipated, which was great! The NYC team was communicative and flexible in working with some last minute conflicts that I had. The move

We hired Otto Nelson to move us from Illinois to Wisconsin. We combined 2 houses into one so there was a lot of items to move. The crew of 4 were very professional, kind, polite and very quick. They ended up needing a third truck and Otto Nelson sent one immediately to our old house. They were incredibly efficient and made sure to protect both houses floors, doorways and walls. They moved our items into our new house with such speed and organization. Even though they had to go on 3 floors there was never any complaining and always had a smile on their faces. I'm really glad we went with Otto Nelson, a local mover, instead of an unknown online company. The team at Otto Nelson was responsive and helpful. They provided all the used boxes we needed which saved a lot of money and time trying to scrounge up decent boxes. They had all the different sizes needed and showed me how to tape 2 together for our giant tv. They gave us packing paper and tape which meant no messy newspaper and secure packing.
They accommodated my elderly mother by dropping her furniture first. The driver was on time and called to let us know where he was and when he would arrive

Otto Nelson was amazing. Will, Caden, Kyle, and Ken moved us on the coldest day of -55 wind chill. So many businesses and schools were closed and they did not cancel on us. In fact, their first words were "We are so glad you didn't cancel on us!" because they wanted to move us and they were prepared with snow shovels and winter gear. They were organized, professional, protected our furniture, and were quick despite the elements. The whole team worked very well together in their communication with each other and with my family. We are so grateful to these young men for caring for our family by doing

Hire this team! We moved from IL to VA and had three quotes. I chose Otto Nelson not only because they had competitive pricing, but because of George the "owner". When I say owner, it didn't mean that George would close the deal and never hear from him. No, George was part of the process, amidst being the Owner. George and his crew were respectful, on time and met the timelines they described. In fact, the cost was less when it was weighed. I felt in great hands and I have two kids, which is very important as to how the family feels. I will point out that we used Otto Nelson for packing out goods

I didn't know what to expect moving our business from one location to another but they were top-notch and set my mind at ease that they had it under control while I could concentrate on other things.
