No design is complete without adding some whimsy into the mix. That's where our antique shop comes in. We carry a variety of antiques, including birdbaths and other items that will take your design to a whole new level. Don't go to the big box garden stores and buy the same items everyone else does.
The Team is unbelievable! They are timely, professional, and do unbelievable landscaping and lawn maintenance services. We are thrilled with the plantings they did for us and their creative mind really helped with the ideas to transform. What a great, quirky plant store! If I was asked to describe New Roots Landscaping in one word I would use “extreme”
Extremely professional- I contacted several landscapers to complete a project in my yard and they were the only ones to respond. Understanding that all landscapers were busy they explained their time constraints. We set on an agreed upon time and they continued to follow up.
Extremely creative - I provided Gabrielle with little to no direction and she designed an outstanding plan that met all of my “wants”.
Extremely knowledgeable- Similar to design, I had no idea on plants. Again. Perfect.

Jim and Gabriela put in some beautiful landscaping for us. Our backyard was looking pretty drab and I wanted to have a fuller garden. They were booked out pretty far when I called but I wasn’t in a hurry. If anything, I thought it was a sign they did good work and were popular. Our work eventually got delayed even more due to ridiculous amounts of rain but that’s pretty unavoidable in Houston. The end result was worth it. First, the online service is a joke. I submitted information and waited for a month without getting any response. So I called, and the answer I got was my project was “simple” and the minimum job they do is $20,000. So I listed the things I was planning on and they agreed on coming for an inspection/estimation. I was given a 2 months appointment. Then 6 weeks later, they call me to cancel due to “certain circumstances” and give me a new appointment another month later. Fast forward to the night of appointment, another phone call to change time but within same day. I agreed again but I asked

What a great, quirky plant store! The employees were incredibly helpful and kind and provided valuable information. There was a huge selection of very healthy plants that grow well in Houston, including several unusual varieties! I bought a plant I had never seen before and I rarely get to have that happen with all the plant babies I own! So fun to come across something new! This store is a gem!! Definitely will be back!

I love this little Heights nursery! They also offer landscaping, hence the name. I've shopped at New Roots dozens of times and all of my plants from them have been healthy and pest free. The prices are super fair, they have a great selection of everything from succulents to herbs and pollinator-friendly plants. Even the pots, birdbaths, and other doodads are very reasonably prices. The staff are kind and knowledgeable. I love the hand written info signs and how when I say 'see you later' to the main caretaker, she replies 'See you tomorrow!' 😂First time she said that I said, 'Oh, you know me

Love this place the staff is always helpful and full of great tips so don’t be shy and ask. If you want a nursery with a more personal experience that’s also reasonably priced go ahead and check it out. I’ve bought over 20 plants here and it actually gave me my magical never ending pepper plant haha anyway here’s a baby monsters and I forgot the name of the other that I got from there

I have been to a few nurseries during lockdown. This was my favourite. The service is super. The selection good 1.50 herbs 300$ lawn ornaments.

It was wonderful to work with New Roots Landscaping to overhaul our backyard space. After meeting with 5 other landscapers, I felt pretty stressed about what to do. When meeting with Jim and Gabriella from New Roots, their knowledge, quick ability to survey the area and make recommendations, put me at ease. In a matter of ~an hour they had taken measurements of the space and sketched a plan that I loved based on my style and needs. The work was done carefully but efficiently. We LOVE the end result. It’s beautiful and functional for our family! Highly recommend!
