Over the years we have learned what a difference the details can make. This is the case in both our design work as well as in the craftsmanship that goes into every custom home or remodeling project we produce. We also understand that whenever you allow someone work on your home, you are placing a great deal of trust in them.
While many clients are at first drawn to Green Building for reasons of principle, they also find that Green Building makes sense economically. A Green home can substantially cut energy and maintenance costs while at the same time increasing the comfort and health for those who inhabit it. As a result, Green Homes tend to have increased value.
Choosing the right contractor can make all the difference between a happy experience and a complete headache. Styles, personalities, specialities, can all make a difference but here are a few suggestions that should help you with any contractor you work with. Discuss your project with a number of different contractors to determine which one will provide the features and services you are looking for.
JCM may be known for our custom homes but we are no less passionate about home remodeling. Many homeowners are happy where they are but you may want to update a kitchen, finish a basement, or put a new addition on your home. Utilize the space you already have. Enclosing and existing deck or patio is quite simple, extremely affordable and great for entertaining. Having semi built two other homes (production homes), building a custom home was a new experience. On top of it, we lived in another state and would not be able to see what was happening at the jobsite on a regular basis. We are extremely pleased with JCM Custom Homes. Justin builds the home like it was his own with attention to every detail and visiting the site almost daily. He advises all of the subcontractors when they should be available to do their work. He has a long-standing relationship with all of the subcontractors which we have also found to be very good at their work. As the house is being built, he provides helpful suggestions to modify the ‘plans’ should they be necessary or provide a more esthetic look. We were looking for a contractor that could build our home long distance and we were extremely fortunate to have found Justin. He is competent, organized, detailed, runs an extremely clean building site and has an exceptional crew of sub contractors. Justin communicated with us every step of the way keeping us in contact with all of the subs and giving us a heads up when decisions needed to be made. I sent our plans to 6 builders, Justin’s estimate was the cost complete and detailed of the 4 returned. When I meet Justin I knew he was the builder for us. Since we were building our house from a distance it was imperative that we had a builder that would pay as much attention to details as I would if I were there. Justin is that builder. Now that the house is completed we are extremely happy with the results. He and his subcontractors did a wonderful job and I would recommend him to anyone.

Justin Morrison is exceptional. His work is top notch and his attention to detail is unmatched. The subcontractors he selected for our project were all outstanding and most said they do their best work on Justin's projects because his expectations are so high! You might find someone cheaper, but you will be hard pressed to find someone better.

Justin and his team recently renovated our deck and screened-in porch. He had some great ideas about the best use of the available space while being mindful of our budget.
The fact that Justin managed all of the tradesmen was a real bonus. After one visit, his quote encompassed all of their work; meeting with them was not necessary.
Once work commenced, Justin kept to the agreed schedule. He kept us fully informed on the progress throughout the process. The old screened-in porch is now an office area and the new deck…STUNNING!
