Jeff put wood floors in our home. The floors are beautiful, and the planks fit together perfectly. My father-in-law used to build homes and when he examined the floors, he was very impressed by the work done on the floors. Besides the expertise of Jeffs work, I was also thrilled with Jeff's professionalism.
No. Particle board does not have the holding power and brakes apart. In some cases, you can have a floating floor that lays on a pad otherwise you have to remove the particle board for a nail down floor. National Flooring suggests plywood or OSB board. Yes, water and wood don't mix. Wood reacts to what it is given.

Jeff installed new hickory flooring in our family room, kitchen, powder room and back hall. The rooms look amazing thanks to the attention to detail that Jeff gives his jobs. He puposefully laid the boards with the most character in spots that would showcase their beauty. I would have never even thought to do that. His work ethic is wonderful. He showed up as expected and worked to get the job done without rushing anything. He made sure there were no squeaks or weak areas in my subfloor before he put the wood planks down. Jeff is such a patient, kind and professional craftsman. He agonized over every detail. He took countless trips from Lodi to Waunakee just to talk through the details prior to getting paid a cent. He painstakingly explained every detail to us until we understood. We have recommended him to three family members so far. He went right out and looked at their jobs too and helped them, working around their schedule. We wrote our final check to Jeff with grateful and happy hearts. We had Jeff install wood floors in our family room, hallway and living room. The floors are just beautiful. You could not ask for a more professional job and the price was more than reasonable. Jeff is easy to work with and pays attention to the smallest detail. I cannot get over how beautiful the floors look. It breathed new life into our home and the rooms look great. Jeff is a master craftsman working with wood floors. We had Jeff install wood flooring in two rooms and repair existing wood flooring in our kitchen area. The new floors masterly fit together and Jeff joined them perfectly to the existing wood floors. Jeff repaired a couple of problems we had with the existing sub flooring demonstrating to us his pride to do an outstanding job. We highly recommend this gentleman to anyone who desires excellent work to beautify their home.
