Removing your tree is a decision that shouldn't be taken lightly. This is often very costly, and trees add tremendous value and curb appeal to your property when properly managed. An arborist can made recommendations and perform a risk assessment to advise whether the tree needs to be pruned or removed.

It's often considerably cheaper to prune a tree vs. removing it. Tree removal is dangerous regardless of what's around the tree. This risk is increased by decayed trees, electrical and service drops, and buildings or other structures that must be avoided during the removal process. Tree Pruning should be done by a qualified Arborist, as improper pruning could significantly reduce the life of your trees, or kill them completely!

An arborist should never use "gaffs" or "spikes" to climb a tree that's being pruned, this wounds the tree, and creates a vector for bugs or disease. There are many benefits to tree pruning: removal of dead or decayed branches, storm damage, cross leading branches, wind-sail, and improved storm resistance.

Cabling and Bracing Report

Sometime your trees need a little support. Branches that are deemed too big to prune or the appearance of the crown will be significantly distorted are good candidates for installing support cabling. There are strict guidelines to do this as to not be a detriment to the health of the tree, and for the cabling to function effectively.

Life Tree Services handled the removal of two huge maple trees on my property. It's difficult to part with a tree, especially a mature one, but Dmitri and his crew made the process as transparent and painless as possible. Their equipment was state of the art and helped them be incredibly efficient. They even hit upon an idea for something useful to do with the shavings left from the stump grinding. Realizing that I had an issue in my yard with an invasive plant, they executed a plan to put landscape fabric over the affected areas and spread the stump grindings on top. Called for a free estimate since the website says they provide free estimate. I was told I need a consultation and the fee is $175. I questioned that and was told there's a difference. I should've stopped there but I didn't. I did ask if that fee would be applied to the work if I signed a contract and was told he would in part. Dimitri came out asked me what I want. Again that was odd since he's the professional. Checked out the work needing to be done and told me he is not responsible for any damage to the lawn if he brings out the heavy equipment. I absolutely recommend Life Tree Services for any arborist needs you may have. Dimitri and his crew pruned several large maples and removed a handful of dead ash trees that were posing a safety hazard to my family. The team did a great job of communicating and adjusting throughout the day and worked safely, efficiently and professionally. They finished the job ahead of schedule and took care of some extra work without additional charge. I will be using the crew at Life again in the future.

Dmitri and his crew removed seven huge trees from our yard. They worked expeditiously and safely. They took care not to damage drain tiles, fencing, and the neighbor's lawn. They cleaned up as they went. They also came in with the lowest bid for the job. What's not to like?
I was completely satisfied with the work. I have two more trees that will have to be removed at some point. When the time comes, I will be calling Life Tree Services.

Came out to look at our tree. They quoted 3,800+tax. Had another quote from a different tree company at the same time for $2,600. Told the owner that unfortunately it was out of my price range and we would be declining their service. Owner texted right back and offered to match the lower price and get it done the next week if we went with them. It's been almost a month since the first time they arranged to show to remove it. When they finally came the owner contacted me to tell me that, although we already had a signed contract, he could not go through with the job at the agreed upon price

Company did a great job removing several trees and were flexible midway through the job when we wanted to make a change. Dmitri was right on when he told us which trees were dead, rotten, etc. Crew was great with cleaning up the yard and stacking the wood we asked them to leave. Highly recommend! Thanks!

These guys are incredible !!!!!! I had an extremely difficult situation in my back yard with a broken branch extending some forty feet into my neighbor's tree..... all this taking place some thirty feet up the trees, above a fence.... dangerously close to power lines. Their website says free estimates, but when I called the guy said he charges $150 just to come out to the house. He exact words were "My time is valuable. I don't like working for free, and I'm sure you don't either." I have 1 diseased tree and about 12 dying trees. Obviously this guy feels that an hour of his work week isn't worth scoring a decent-sized job.
