The concept for Austin Solar AC began over five years ago. As a new homeowner in Texas, it was impossible not to feel the impact of the summer heat on my utility bill. I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! Harnessing the power of the sun to provide clean energy has been an ultimate goal for centuries, but it has taken some time for that idea to become a reality. Great advances have been made in recent years, yet solar energy produced using PV (Photo Voltaic) panels has remained too cost prohibitive to provide solar power systems to generate electricity to the general public.
There is no question that the sun provides an incredible source of energy; the difficulty is in capturing that energy effectively and putting it to practical use. Although the more commonly known PV, or photovoltaic, solar panels are effective, the electricity generated is used to operate your household lighting, computers, and appliances.
