My relationship with my dad is one of great respect, trust and the same vision. We came back together as partners in DIETZ Corp. and are doing what we both have always wanted to do: work together. On all projects I stress safety and clean jobsites along with proper communication with daily reports and weekly meetings, so that everything is properly documented and done correctly.
I have built buildings of steel, poured in place and stick-frames. These have gone from single story to mid-rise of 9 stories. Some of these projects have had very tight restraints such as building a hotel on of an acre with underground parking on one of Cupertino's busiest streets, and without a staging area.
I have worked with Mike Dietz in the past and can wholeheartedly endorse his ethics and skill base in the construction industry. Mike has a thorough understanding of the construction business and conducts himself in a very professional manner. It has been my experience that Mike puts the owner's concerns first and always acts accordingly.
Consists of a budget review on each phase of the design, along with a schedule of events updated per design. Valued engineering will be suggested upon each design to try and maintain budget and schedule. The goal on every project is to have all sub-contractors commit to approved schedule, and at the time of commitment to inform me of all their constraints, as to why they might not be able to meet their commitment.
Adversity: Problems will arise. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, understand that there is always a solution for working through the problems. First, identify the problem. Second, never work around the problem, work through the problem. Third, bring experts in to help you solve the problem. Fourth, write out how you worked through the problem and pass it on.
