In the autumn of 1922 Frank Michaelian arrived on the overnight steamer ship from Shanghai and entered the port of Chefoo on the northeast coast of mainland China. In the previous year, the twenty five year old Michaelian had established the woven rugs carpet manufacturing and importing company Michaelian and Kohlberg.

Michaelian Home's collection of hand hooked and hand woven rugs are made with natural materials that are sustainable, durable, and naturally beautiful.
Needlepoint pillows are a beautiful expression of hand artistry and timeless beauty. Our regular decorative needlepoint pillows have roughly 100 stitches per square inch. Our Petit Point pillows have around 225 stitches per square inch for even greater detail. Several of our pillows are a mix stitch of regular Needlepoint and Petit Point stitch.
We are pleased to announce Michaelian Home has purchased India Overseas Traders, Inc. For those of you unfamiliar with IOT, it is a well-established company that is over 80 years old. Fun and sophisticated natural fibered rag and flat weave rugs, lively dish towels and some beautiful tabletop items will now be a part of Michaelian Home's product line.
