Where to begin. Without making this story too long, let's just say that some guys who aren't normally movers packed our home (they neglected to mention this) different people put it in storage, and yet a different group actually moved it. This was after weeks of calling to find out what was happening and getting literally no information from their incompetent "move coordinator" who didn't seem to understand why not doing any of the things they promised on anything close to resembling the schedule they had given, was a problem. Horrible. They have 3,700 pounds of our belongings, and have had them outside the delivery window for well over a month now, with no estimate of when they will arrive, and NO recourse for us. They said it is an "overflow" portion of our shipment and apparently they feel no responsibility to deliver our items. They have provided us 3 different dates of when our belongings will arrive NEAR us and all three times that has not happened. The Mayflower Moving Company NIGHTMARE!!!
My 77 year old father used Mayflower to move him from California to Florida. It was over 40 days before he got his property delivered and about 30% of his property was damaged or completely ruined. The driver flipped the truck over, and then all of the contents in the truck got rained on. They kept telling him that his belongings were on the way. For weeks and weeks and weeks this went on. It was very hard to see my dad just sitting in a completely empty house waiting for his belonging and nobody from Mayflower was taking charge to help the situation.

1.5 hours into the full pack and my movers are telling me it's going to cost $1500 more than they quoted me, my "move coordinator" has gone on vacation and the person she told me to call is going straight to voicemail. What a joke.

Finding a good, reliable + trustworthy moving company is very difficult: there are so many to choose from, reviews are all over the map, and horror stories abound for every company I looked into. So, after a friend told me he had good luck with the long-established moving company, Mayflower, I went ahead and chose them. And every person I had contact with along the way--the original estimator (done by Zoom), the pre-move and move-day coordinator, and the movers themselves (both in California and Michigan, where we moved to)--were ALL honest, professional, and friendly. This review is in relation to a cross-country move, from Denver CO to Baltimore MD, in October 2020. We waited until now to post a review, as we were hoping to have some resolution of the damages incurred. However, as of today, August 5th 2021, we are still waiting for resolution.

We signed an agreement with Mayflower Moving company to carry out our full service move. As part of that agreement, we upgraded to (and paid for) the full replacement insurance option. ***

A quick note: apparently, Mayflower subcontracts their pickup and delivery services, so you potentially will have multiple different

If I could give negative stars, I would. I was not away that Mayflower sub-contracts out all work and doesn't have insight into the work being performed by their subcontractors. The communication from subcontractor, Scott Relocation Services in Seekonk, MA after I booked and provided my payment info was non-existent unless I reached out, and usually more than once. The company failed to inform me while loading all my earthly possessions that they had not secured a driver to deliver my items to my new home 1,300 miles away. WARNING! I wanted to provide awareness of what you can expect booking a move through this company. I booked my move over a month in advance. Scheduled for a load date on July 6th with a delivery window from July 10th - to July 15th. Foreshadowing the disaster to come surfaced when they called a couple of days before the load date to say they can't load on the 6th but will be able to load on the 7th. They assured me multiple times that the delivery window would not be impacted. They require you to be at your destination for the entirety of your delivery window to accept delivery when they arrive

This is the most awful moving company ever ... So much stuff was stolen and damaged and There was a foreman on site but every time I asked him something or told him something he turned his back and walked away and this move cost me 22 thousand.... never use them .. I called to complain and wrote a email but I never got a response... Then after I posted this they send you a message here to contact them but that was useless and they dont even answer the messages here.

Our experience with Mayflower was very good! We originally wanted to move ourselves until we found out how much it was to rent a moving truck and move out of CA. I contacted Mayflower for a quote and immediately received a call back from Jesse Bolado, sales rep, who organized a virtual walkthrough of our home and provided a moving quote. An absolute disaster of a move. Ended up costing me thousands of extra dollars to correct their mistakes. They were no help and while the team tried to respond quickly once the move was finished, a month later I am still cleaning up their mess.

Oh and they'll keep charging your credit card for random things with no explanation.

Avoid at all costs.

Mayflower is not fulfilling my residential move contract from Colorado to Florida. We are sitting in an empty house 14 days PAST our delivery window on our binding estimate and bill of lading. No options or solutions have been offered. Mayflower simply states they can't find a truck for us but they are "trying". Yet other shipments and going out daily, and other moving companies are available to take this job while MF cannot. The moving industry overall is operating with virtually no enforceable guidelines. From my perspective, consumers are not regarded as valuable in the least

I've been without my car for a month now.
Mayflower moving dropped a roll of shrink wrap three stories and did approximately $3500 worth of damage to my car.
I had to take three days of PTO to meet insurance adjusters, that no-show, or to meet tow truck drivers etc. They have sent me legal letters warning me that the rental car needs to be returned immediately after the car is finished otherwise I will incur the rental charges.
Although I have not received one apology or an offer to reimburse me for my PTO.

WORST experience moving ever. They didn't assign a driver to truck our belongings until 2 days after the truck had been loaded. Our things have now been in the correct city for 2 days and we are on the last day of our delivery window. We are now being told it will be 3 more days until they can bring it to our home. We have 2 small children who we had to go buy beds for and my husband and I are sleeping on the floor. Their "compensation" is $100 a day after it is considered late. That doesn't even cover a hotel room. Can in-recommend them enough.

Say goodbye to your possessions

Booked Mayflower/United Van Lines for a move from Nevada to New Jersey for 8/14/2020. Mayflower was to pack 2 TVs including boxes as well as 7 large framed paintings.

The homeowner of the house I was buying delayed the closing for 4 weeks so I had no choice but to have mayflower store my belongings.

On previous moves furniture was carefully wrapped & protected. Not the case this time. And their system for storage is ridiculous. They put everyone's things together in a warehouse.

If I could give zero stars I would. I signed a contract with them that they would pick up on the 15th and my stuff would be to me on the 19th and no later then the 27th of october. It is now the 28th of October and they claim they cant get me a driver until November 5th and that we might get out stuff by November 10th. Dont use this company!!

I gave them one star but in reality, they deserve none. There was literally nothing that they moved that wasn't dropped or broken including items we thought were unbreakable. We packed ourselves, and some items were double boxed but a lot of the boxes arrived with holes in and a valuable stained glass lampshade was broken beyond repair.
We had packed a lot of things in plastic totes; several of those arrived shattered. Our king size bed set was dropped out of the truck - we saw it happen - and damaged beyond repair. A steel microphone stand was broken/snapped off. Boxes clearly labeled

We contracted Mayflower / East End Transfer to handle our long distance move from Houston to Indianapolis last year. The gentleman that came to spec out the costs was professional and helpful in laying out our options for insurance, etc. Due to the gap between our two leases, we needed to put our stuff into storage for a week or so to make the timing work. The packers and men that came to pick up the goods were all polite, quick, and competent. So far so good.

As we're getting closer to the date when the goods need to be shipped out, there's just dead air in terms of communication.

We were planning our move to Florida and I contacted the three major movers for a quote. Two out of the 3 companies sent an estimator and one wanted to do the inspection via FaceTime. Molloy Bros. / Mayflower sent their estimator Jack. His review of our move was professional and to the point. When our move was delayed a month due to a health issue Molloy had no issues rescheduling our move. Once we were ready Jack came back and re-estimated our move.
