John Schlorhaufer is the President of JBS Remodeling & Roofing and likely the first person you'll meet when you're ready to sit down and discuss your remodeling project. At just 16 years old, John joined the construction industry, studying under one of the best carpenters in the business and working as a framing contractor with a leading Twin Cities custom home builder.

We recently turned our unfinished basement into a cozy haven for our family. The space turned out exactly as we had planned. Working with John was a wonderful experience. Here are our highlights:
1) We were very concerned about our budget. We only had one small add on that was necessary and ended up exactly on budget!
2) We had bids from two companies. What we appreciated about John was that he came out to our house, looked at the space, and then had his contractors come out to our house BEFORE we signed the contract. He gave us a detailed contract with an estimate. My husband and I loved the

After searching high and low for a home that would accommodate our growing family without luck, we opted to add on. We contacted four different companies before deciding on JBS Remodeling and Roofing. John’s bid came in smack in the middle of our other bids without having to give up anything on our wish list. What seemed for us to be a daunting remodeling project turned into a relatively seamless process when we called John at JBS Remodel and Roof. Not only did John come out on short notice but he came prepared with questions we had not thought of, a portfolio of projects and walked us through a pretty decent consultation. John listened, answered our questions and provided us a project estimate without asking us what our budget was.
